If you’ve ever searched “baby sleep schedule” at 2am, you’ve probably seen a lot of charts telling you exactly when your baby should be sleeping.

And if your baby doesn’t match those charts?

It can feel like you’re doing something wrong.

But here’s the truth: no two babies sleep the same.

Sleep is influenced by so many factors including:

• temperament
• developmental stage
• total sleep needs
• feeding patterns
• sensory sensitivity
• family rhythms

Some babies are naturally flexible sleepers.
Others feel everything more deeply and need a little more support and predictability to settle.

Neither is wrong.

This is why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all sleep schedules.

As a registered nurse and pediatric sleep consultant, I always start with a thorough assessment so we can understand your baby’s unique sleep biology and temperament before making any changes.

Because the goal isn’t to force your baby into a rigid schedule.

The goal is to build a rhythm that works with your baby instead of against them.

If you’re feeling stuck trying to figure out your baby’s sleep patterns, a free assessment call is a great place to start. We can talk about what’s happening, what’s normal for your baby’s age, and what kind of support might help.

Sometimes what feels like a problem, is actually physiology.

It’s normal for young babies to:
✨feed 8-12+ times in 24 hours
✨cluster feed in the evenings
✨increase feeds during growth spurts
✨comfort nurse

Frequent feeding does not automatically mean low supply.
But if you’re unsure whether what is happening with your baby is normal or not, you don’t have to decide alone.

Book a free RN assessment call.
Let’s look at your baby specifically 🩷

Fewer things trigger postpartum anxiety quite like this question “is my baby getting enough milk??”

You can’t measure breastfeeding like a bottle. And in those early weeks, frequent feeds can feel like a red flag, but most of the time it’s just your baby being a baby.

As an RN and feeding consultant, I don’t guess. I assess.
We’ll look at:
✨diapers and stool patterns
✨weight trends
✨baby’s feeding behaviours
✨overall alertness and tone

Assessment brings clarity. Not guessing, not anxiety. Just the calm confidence you need to move forward on your feeding journey.

If you’re feeling unsure, or uncomfortable with feeding your baby book a free assessment call at the link below
We’ll decide what feeding package option is going to work best for your family to leave you with answers, not doubt 🩷

If your newborn will only sleep on you… welcome to postpartum 🩷

So many parents expect a sleepy newborn bubble.
And they get home and realize:
✨baby won’t be put down
✨baby feeds constantly
✨sleep comes in tiny fragments
✨emotions are everywhere

As a registered nurse, and mama myself, I know how intense and raw those first few days can be.

Here’s what I want you to know. Your baby isn’t being “too needy”. They’re adjusting to the brand new world around them and they need you and your body to regulate. You are their home.

You aren’t failing if you can’t get them to sleep in their bassinet. It’s cold and lonely, and you are warm and safe.
Lean into it, this phase is not about perfect schedules. It’s about stabilization-and getting to know this tiny human you just brought home.
Focus on feeding, recovery and getting through the shock of the transition. You are not doing it wrong, in fact you’re doing everything right 🩷

Save this for your next 2am scroll.
And send it to a friend who just brought their new baby home.

If you want support in the first week - think feeding, routine and postpartum recovery from an RN lens - I offer postpartum care and newborn support. Check them out at the link below

The third trimester is a LOT. More appointments, more symptoms, more decisions… and your body doing the most behind the scenes.

If you’re wondering what to eat to support your energy, baby’s growth, and postpartum recovery — without getting overwhelmed by conflicting advice — this workshop is for you.

Nourishing for Two is a holistic, evidence-based session designed to support your body alongside your medical care, not in place of it.

We’ll cover third trimester nutrition, breastfeeding foundations, and you’ll leave with postpartum freezer recipes to make the early weeks easier.
