How often do you replace your toothbrush?

Most people don't replace their toothbrush as often as they should. The general recommendation is to replace your toothbrush every 3 months. A good way to gauge if it's time to toss your toothbrush is to check the bristles. If they are looking worn or starting to fray at the ends then it is definitely time to replace it!

We also recommend replacing your toothbrush after you get sick so that any germs hiding in the bristles aren't getting back inside your mouth.

Effective as of Wednesday, March 18 2020, our office will be temporarily closed. The Alberta Dental Association & College has instituted a mandatory ban on all non-emergency dental services and treatments.

We are currently unsure how long this closure will last, but we will be posting any updates we have to our website and our social media accounts.

In response to the recent concern surrounding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID 19) we have increased our precautionary measures here at Foothills Dental Group. In additional to the strict sterilization standards we always follow, we have increased the cleaning and sanitizing of all areas in our clinic, including wiping doorknobs multiple times a day and wiping down the reception area frequently. We also have hand sanitizer available as soon as you enter the clinic.

A reminder to all our patients, if you are feeling sick or have any cold or flu symptoms, please contact our office prior to your appointment. We will be happy to reschedule you after you are fully recovered from any illness. Please also contact our office if you have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days, or if you have had contact with anyone suspected or confirmed to have coronavirus (COVID 19).
