When was the last time you truly slowed down with your partner? šŸ’›

Last weekend’s Slowing Down to Love Well workshop was a beautiful reminder that connection thrives in presence. Between shared movement, mindful breath, and thoughtful journaling, the room was filled with laughter, warmth, and a deep sense of togetherness.

In our cozy and intimate space at we explored what it means to support and be supported—to listen, to feel, and to be fully present with one another. Thank you to everyone who joined us and brought your hearts (and humor!) into the practice.

Here’s to love, in all its forms. šŸ’«

Why do you need restorative yoga?

Life moves fast, and sometimes we forget to pause and take care of ourselves. That’s where restorative yoga comes in—a practice designed to deeply nourish and heal. Here’s why you need it:

1ļøāƒ£ Let go of tension and stress
Find a moment to pause and shift from "fight or flight" to "rest and digest." Restorative yoga creates space for true relaxation in a hectic world.

2ļøāƒ£ Replenish your energy and heal
With gentle, supported poses, you’ll ease muscle tension, improve circulation, and encourage healing on every level—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.

3ļøāƒ£ Tune in to your body and breath
In the stillness, you’ll reconnect with yourself, cultivating mindfulness, reducing anxiety, and building a stronger mind-body connection.

Are you ready to slow down and restore? 🌿 Join me for a class and give yourself the gift of rest. šŸ’›

Hey! If you don't know me, now you do! šŸ‘‹

I’ve been teaching yoga for 4 years, including hatha, yin, flow, and restorative yoga (with a soft spot for restorative). I completed my 200-hour teacher training at and am currently deepening my practice with an online pranayama course.

Yoga has played a huge part in my life—from improving my body mechanics as a teenager to supporting my mental health as an adult. I’ve personally experienced its transformative power and am passionate about bringing that change to others. šŸ’›

Originally from Vancouver Island, I’ve recently moved to the Vancouver area and am excited to connect with this vibrant community. Let’s slow down, breathe, and restore together! 🌿

Do you get sore wrists? This post is for you.

I’ve been talking about hasta bandha a LOT during class… are you sick of it yet?
All jokes aside, it’s an incredibly powerful tool! A bandha is an energy lock, meaning it can be used to direct the flow of energy. Physically, hasta bandha can strengthen your hands and wrists by equally distributing the weight of your body throughout your hands and your wrists.

How? Go to your hands and knees. Shoulders stacked over wrists. Fingers are equally spread. Ground down through all four corners of the hand, PARTICULARLY focusing on the space between the inner wrist, base of the thumb, and base of the pointer finger. Take a moment here. Then sit back and shake out your hands. Now come into plank. Does the space between the inner wrist, base of the thumb and base of the pointer finger pop up? Find Hasta Bandha and ground down. To take this one step further, you can pretend to make a fist (while your hands are flat) and lift the inner palm.

For those who have been practicing this with me for the past month, how has it effected your practice? Maybe it has, maybe it hasn’t. Regardless, I wanna know in the comments below!

3 ways to ā€œfind your backbendā€ during your flow.

In flow yoga we use a flow or Vinyasa between each sequence of poses. During the Vinyasa, you may hear me say to ā€œfind your backbendā€. Here are three backbends to choose from.

1) Urdhva Mukha Svanasana (upward-facing dog)
2)Bhujangasana (cobra)
3)Ardha Bhujangasana (half cobra)

Alignment cues for all three: Press the feet into the floor and engage the legs by lifting the knee cap. Find your hands under your shoulders. Maintain a long spine to prevent collapsing through the low back or neck. Draw shoulders away from ears and press the heart forward. If your shoulders are by your ears and you can’t relax them down, create space by lowering the upper body.

Choose what feels right in your body in that moment. It may vary from day to day!

Yoga teachers! What cues am I missing? Share your favorite below! 😊

Happy Family Day !

Swipe to see some not so atheistically appealing photos of my little fam🤪

You don’t need a studio or the perfect time or place to practice yoga. Move the coffee table aside and let the kids join. Your practice might look a little different, but try not to take it so ~seriously~! Seriously!

Yoga designed to be incorporated into daily life. It’s not always picture perfect. Have fun! Play around! Do what you can and listen to your body ✨
