Gathered Gold is now available!🍂Once again the earth turns golden as everything living prepares for rest. This blend is from the highlands of Kenya + Tanzania and is inspired by the harvest season. The nostalgia of gathering together in golden wheat fields, sharing the garden’s yield, small boys playing beneath leaf confetti, taking a walk in the crisp morning air with a steaming cup of coffee, are a few of our favourite autumnal things… if you care to, share some of yours in the comments

Pour-over coffee is delicious because it allows for precise control over brewing, extracting the coffee’s natural flavors and aromas. The slow, even water flow highlights subtle tasting notes, creating a clean, bright, and well-balanced cup that showcases the beans’ unique character.

It’s one of our favourite ways to appreciate a good bean to the fullest!

Crema (the good stuff) is the golden, velvety layer of foam that forms on top of a freshly pulled espresso. It’s made of emulsified oils and microbubbles, giving espresso its rich aroma and smooth, full-bodied flavour.

It’s not hard to admit he’s nailed it on this one and we’re sure you’ll be hooked. The best dad and grandpa a kid could ever want. And someone that’s pretty hip in the coffee scene. For sure knows a good cup of jo.

The red barn where we roast all of our coffee is the repurposed barn structure transported and built by Radar, from the family farm near Heisler, Alberta.

Our feature coffee for May is our single origin organic Decaf roast. Often overlooked, this is a great option for an evening cup, or for those that need to watch their caffeine intake.

Curious how we can achieve a great tasting cup with the caffeine removed? The Swiss Water Process is a chemical-free method that uses only water, temperature, and time to gently remove caffeine from coffee beans. First, green (unroasted) beans are soaked in hot water to dissolve the caffeine. That water—now full of flavor compounds and caffeine—is passed through a special carbon filter that traps only the caffeine. The flavor-rich water, now caffeine-free, is reused to soak a new batch of beans, which keeps the flavor intact while removing the caffeine. The result? Smooth, rich decaf with no chemicals and no compromise.
