About Courtney
Courtney received her first 1000 hour diploma from Foothills College of Massage Therapy in Calgary in 2000. She spent her first year practicing in a premium spa in Banff, and then moved to the West Coast, where she did mobile massage predominantly for movie crews and professional athletes, until she ran a multi-disciplinary clinic in North Vancouver for 3 years, before moving back to the Bow Valley in 2006. Since returning to Canmore, Courtney has practiced out of her home clinic as well as providing mobile services throughout Banff and Canmore.
In 2012, Courtney received her 2200 hour diploma with honours from MH Vicars school of Massage Therapy in Calgary, where she has been an instructor ever since. Her passion for teaching stems from a life-long journey of learning various healthcare modalities, and a commitment to continue her diverse education.
Courtney’s treatments are completely client focused. She favours a multi-disciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of each individual’s therapeutic goals. She is trained in myofascial release, myofascial cupping, prenatal/postnatal massage, sports massage, as well as all aspects related to remedial massage therapy. Courtney strongly believes in the importance of client education, and encourages client participation through appropriate remedial exercises given for homecare between appointments.
The mountains of the Bow Valley are home to Courtney and her family, who enjoy snowboarding, dirtbiking, hiking, and camping.
