About Me:

*The basics: My name is Amanda and I’ve been in the Bow Valley for a little over 4 years now.
* As you can see I love to spontaneously sit in random areas.
* I have two cats and a dog
* I grew up in the Okanagan for half my life. My childhood was spent on a fruit orchard owned by my grandparents.
* I’ve been a Massage Therapist for over 15 years and an Acupuncturist for 5 years.
* My clinic is called Metanoia Therapeutics. Metanoia is the journey of changing one’s self, whether Emotionally, Spiritually, Mentally or Physically. As humans we are constantly evolving and changing into better versions of ourselves.
* Some of my favourite things to treat in clinic are Musculoskeletal Issues, Mental Health, Digestive Issues, Insomnia and Stress.
* I don’t like social media but have been told I need to get with the times so here I am.

Electro-Acupuncture (EA) uses the same principles and points as traditional acupuncture but adds a micro current to the needle. Patients will feel a tingling or tapping sensation and the average treatment lasts about 10- 20 minutes. Patients may experience some fatigue in the muscle post treatment but subsides within 24 hours. EA is great for acute/chronic pain pain, repetitive stress injuries, muscle strains/tears, Joint sprains, frozen shoulder, plantar fasciitis, pre and post surgical rehab, increasing range of motion.
