🩺Meet Our Team: Dr. Christa McPherson
Family Physician | Big believer in patient-centered care and long forest walks

If you’ve spent any time in the Bow Valley, you’ve likely crossed paths with Dr. Christa McPherson. She’s been caring for this community since 2009, bringing a calm, steady, genuinely reassuring presence into every appointment. After training at UBC and completing her Family Medicine Residency on Vancouver Island, but the mountains called — and she answered. Lucky us!

Dr. McPherson has a way of making people feel comfortable the moment she walks into the room. She loves the continuity of long‑term, relationship‑based care and approaches each visit with a thoughtful, unhurried style that gives people space to feel heard. Her family practice includes patients of all ages and genders, and she brings additional expertise in women’s health, IUD insertions, endometrial biopsies, and mental health. Areas where trust and steady support matter deeply.

Outside the clinic, she’s often trying to keep up with her two boys on bikes or skis, wandering forest trails with her dog, or simply enjoying the rhythm of mountain life. That grounded, outdoorsy energy shows up in her practice too, shaping the way she connects with patients and with the community she’s been part of for so many years.

We’re looking for a casual Medical Office Administrator to join our tight‑knit team. Someone who loves working with people and thrives in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You’d be working across both of our clinics, with shifts that may rotate between locations and a minimum of two Saturdays a month. No two days look the same here, but the constant is how much we rely on each other and how much we genuinely enjoy showing up together.

🌿 A Fond Farewell & Warm Wishes for Dr. Hone’s Next Chapter 🌿

After 10 years of caring for families across the Bow Valley, our beloved colleague Dr. Hone will be closing his family practice on June 24, 2026 as he transitions into a new chapter focused on urgent care and hospital-based medicine.

While we’re incredibly excited for him, we’ll admit it, we’re going to miss him just as much as his patients will. His kindness, steady presence, and genuine care have shaped our clinic in ways that will be felt for years to come. It has been an honor to have him as part of our team and our community.

Dr. Hone has shared how deeply grateful he is for the trust his patients have placed in him over the past decade. Caring for individuals and families through milestones, challenges, and everyday moments has been one of the most meaningful parts of his career.

All patients currently on Dr. Hone’s panel will be reassigned to another primary care provider within our Integrated Health Team. Further information has been shared with paneled patients via AVA Connect or Canada Post.
