The truth of the matter is that nobody is going to kick ass for you. You are responsible for 100% of your individual performance. You turn the pedals. You lift the weights. You decide what food goes into your body. You push through the pain. Every activity you undertake is powered by you, and you alone. The purpose of this page is to bring together like-minded people, with the goal of achieving improved lifestyles by leveraging the strength of previous successes and failures within the community. Always. I have 3 small kids and an amazing wife who I have been married to for over a decade. Absolutely nothing stands between me and my family. Well, maybe the odd mountain bike ride here or there....
Whether it's road biking, mountain biking or cyclocross, there's going to be a LOT of bike talk on here. Running will also be a prominent topic, both road and trail. Oh, one rule here....if it's not on STRAVA, it never happened. Weight lifting, cross-training, HIIT, etc, etc. is all fairly new to me. I mean, I have 'lifted' before. I have tried many different ways of getting into better shape, and there are hundreds of programs out there. But only recently have I become SUPER focused on this side of my training. It has been awesome for me, my wife and even my 3 little ones. There might be some car talk, maybe....
I love food. I love to cook it and eat it. I hate doing dishes though. Food is what powers us, so I want to talk a lot about food. Beer...'nuff said. Kids and family. I'm not a therapist or counselor. I am a dad, under 40, with 3 kids under the age of 9 and I have seen the lowest lows and the highest highs. I f'n love my kids, but I know they can be a challenge. I find that dads don't always have a place to vent (respectfully) about how their little bundles of joy are currently driving them up the wall. Law and Order....not the show. We can stay away from politics, but policing and criminal justice are a passion of mine. No i'm not a police officer. Goals and accountability. We all have goals. But how do we achieve them? What have we all learned from previous successes and failures? What is the key to getting what we want? To sum things up, if you like biking, fitness, food, beer, family, the outdoors, and taking your life to the next level, I want to meet you!!!!!
