💫Releases are NOT required.💫

Sure, myself and animal owners alike, LOVE changes that happen often & in front of our own eyes (licking, chewing, sighing, yawning, softening of the eye, dropping the head, etc)- but some animals process differently and others take time.

Following a first adjustment, I usually recommend 48 hours off of "work". That doesn't mean stall/crate rest... It means allowing the animal to move on their own volition without external stresses as they get to know a "new normal" and as their nervous system heals.

Most often, we notice anywhere from a little to a lot of improvement in their movement, pain and demeanor even after the first visit. This is MORE of an indication of the choice of an effective therapy rather than simply enjoying the moment. 🫶

[PS: the "pops" aren't required either, but that's a post for another day 😉]

“Leader” Language—And What It Can Hide
⠀
We hear it often in the horse world:
🗣 “Be the leader.”
🗣 “Show them who’s boss.”
🗣 “Make them respect you.”
⠀
But what kind of leadership are we talking about?
Too often, that word becomes a disguise for control—an excuse for dominance, pressure, or shutting down resistance in the name of “clarity.”
⠀
What if leadership didn’t mean getting your way, but being worthy of trust?
⠀
Real leadership doesn’t demand submission.
It models calm.
It holds space.
It listens, adjusts, and takes responsibility for safety—without needing to overpower.
⠀
Let’s redefine “leader” to mean:
🤍 Trustworthy presence
🧭 Emotional steadiness
🌿 Mutual regulation
🐴 Willingness to listen
⠀
Because the strongest leaders aren’t the loudest.
They’re the ones others want to follow—freely.
⠀
✨ What if your horse didn’t need to be “put in their place”…
and instead, found peace in yours?

If you agree, share this post to add to the gentle ripple shaking the equestrian world into a new understanding.

Sometimes I Say No.

And I need you to hear me.

My no might not be loud.
It might look like turning my head, stepping away, or standing still.
But it’s still a no. And it matters.

When I say no, I might be saying:

- “My body hurts, even if you can’t see it.”
- “Something feels off, and I need more time.”
- “Your energy is too much right now.”
- “The environment is overstimulating or unsafe.”
- “I’m confused, and I don’t understand what you want.”
- “I have memories in my body that haven’t healed yet.”
- “I don’t feel connected to you in this moment.”
- “I have a headache.”
- “I trust you enough to be honest.”

No doesn’t mean I’m disobedient.
No doesn’t mean I’m difficult.
No doesn’t mean I don’t love you.

It means I’m communicating the only way I know how.
And when you listen—without force, without frustration—
You become the kind of partner I can trust.

Because trust isn’t built through pressure.
It’s built through presence, patience, and choice.

✨ Every no you honor brings us closer to a true yes.

Just wrapped up the Animal Chiropractic Summit in Mancos, Colorado and wow—what an experience.

I got to spend the weekend surrounded by brilliant vets and chiropractors who have dedicated their lives to helping animals (and humans!) through chiropractic care. The generosity, passion, and skill in this community blows me away.

✨ To my patients: you are lucky I have this crew in my corner—my adjustments are going to be sharper, and the results even better. I cannot wait to get back to work and put everything I learned into practice.

✨ To my colleagues: thank you for sharing your wisdom, your friendship, and your heart. I’m so honoured to know you and proud to stand among you.

✨ To my instructors: you are incredible. Thank you for your time, your generosity, and for teaching us to perfect our craft.

Already looking forward to the next summit. Until then—back to serving animals at home. See you soon 💛

If you’ve ever seen me adjust your dog or horse and thought, “Hey… can you adjust me too?”—you’re not alone. And trust me, it’s been killing me not to be able to say yes on the spot.

I became a chiropractor because people around me were hurting, and I didn’t yet have the tools to help. But when I started specialising in animals, I quickly realised something: humans just need more care.

✨We don’t live natural lives anymore.
✨We sit way too much.
✨We stress about things that haven’t even happened yet.
✨We scroll through news we can’t do anything about.
✨We eat what tastes good, not what fuels us.
✨We carry a lot—mentally, emotionally, physically.

Meanwhile, there are so few animal chiropractors out there that I’ve had to focus my time and energy on the animals who need me most.

But that’s changing.

📍 From now on, I’ll always have my table with me. And if you’re a current animal client receiving mobile care, you can now get adjusted, too—as long as you’re already under the care of a primary chiropractor.

This isn’t meant to replace your regular chiro. It’s just extra support while I’m there to adjust your animal—because keeping the whole family aligned is something I care deeply about.

💡 Note: This service is currently only available during mobile visits—not at my centres.

If you want in, shoot me a message or comment below and I’ll send the next steps.

Let’s get the whole pack feeling good again.
