I donāt know who, or if anyone else needs this information today, but please, save this photo. You donāt know when it could save your family.
This is a real text message between a friend and I from earlier this morning.
If youāre in the Dieppe, New Brunswick or Ville de Shediac / Town of Shediac area and your family is going through a crisis and you donāt know where to start, THIS is a good place to start! If they donāt know the answer to your questions, they will help guide you to your next step.
I wish I didnāt have this number saved in my phone, but I do.
If you are anywhere else in Canada and are going through a crisis and donāt know where to turn, call 1-866-456-4566 or text 45645 and someone will get back to you. I promise.

Domestic violence is often invisible.
There doesnāt have to be blood and bruises for it to not be ok. This is/was my bed, and this is never ok.
Hopefully no one on my friends list will need this information, but if you are in Southeastern New-Brunswick, are in a domestic relationship and donāt know how to get out or where to start, start with the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Center (506) 533-9100 in Shediac.

It all started during my first meditation experience, ever, in September, 2019!
āIt was made clear to me that I needed to create jewelry in order to help others. At the time, I had no hot clue how I was going to do that. I've always been an artistic person, but honestly, I've never made jewelry, other than knotted colored-thread friendship bracelets in 1996. (Which were super cool, by the way!)
I finally went to a craft store and stood-wide eyed in the "jewelry making" section. I picked up some polymer clay and threw it in my cart.
I had just moved into my own place, unemployed, with a four-year-old, after having been married for several years. I was truly starting over. I felt like Julia Roberts in Eat, Pray, Love, without the means to travel to Italy, India, and Bali.
This was a far stretch from my previous lifestyle and job: Constable Caissie with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Regimental number 60068.
To occupy my time, I began creating jewelry. I would lose myself. I lost track of time. I began to find myself.ā
Finally, I knew what I had to do: I had to make jewelry in support of Mental Health. It was as clear as day! Having been diagnosed with PTSD, Depression and OCD, I can easily say that I have been personally affected by mental health issues, and that I have also watched loved ones suffer with Dependency issues, Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Bi-Polar Disorder, as well as Schizophrenia, with very few available resources."Wheat & Waves" has become my passion and my mission.
As a police officer in Northern Manitoba, not only did I have to work with a large percentage of the population being "high risk", I myself was at risk. I felt my mental health deteriorate over several years. I eventually quit my "dream job", became a mommy, a yoga teacher, and a jewelry-maker.
Wheat and Waves allows me to continue helping and giving back to others, just in a different way! I've traded in my gun and badge for a yoga mat and polymer clay, and I couldn't be happier! I am proud to be able to donate a portion of each of my sales to the Canadian Mental Health Association, however this is only made possible with your help. My ultimate goal for this project is to support existing mental health resources, as well as to expand on, and create new resources throughout Canada by supporting the Canadian Mental Health Association.
Letās work together in supporting each other by taking care of our mental health, where the wounds are not always visible to the naked eye.
Be an ambassador for mental health! Show others that they are not alone by wearing any of Wheat & Waves' designs.
