HEY PARENTS! This one's for you:

The Parent Group is a small, therapist-led program designed for parents of toddlers (ages 1–2.5) who want to support their child’s speech at home.

You’ll meet once a week in a small group (max 6 parents) and learn practical, evidence-based strategies you can use in your everyday routines — like meals, play, and daily interactions.

No guesswork. Just clear, practical support you can use every day.

Link in bio to join our next group starting Tuesday, July 7th!

Big news!!

That means more families can access high-quality speech therapy from home — especially those in rural and underserved communities. 💻✨

Following directions is a skill that develops over time. Here’s how we break down the concept of multi-step directions with children in therapy ☝️

Super humbled by this review, thank you!

“I can’t say enough about Elizabeth. She was amazing with my daughter. First started seeing her when my daughter was 4 and finished when she was 5. Why did we finish? Because Elizabeth stopped the therapy. Because SHE knew there was another issue causing my Childs speech issues. Something that 2 specialists, multiple Audiologists could not figure out. Elizabeth could have just kept having us come, and charging us. But no. She voiced her concerns and that she felt my child would only become frustrated as she cannot hear properly.

Once my daughter was finally diagnosed properly. Elizabeth kept in touch along the way. My daughter asks about her often, as Elizabeth made that much of an impression on her life.

If you have a child with speech issues. Please, stop looking. Contact Elizabeth. You will not regret it and your child will be in great hands.”

The latest 2024 study by Fan, Y., Deng, C., & Liu, S. proved what we’ve always believed — kids make bigger gains when parents are coached and supported by their Speech Language Pathologist.

At Wordbird, parents don’t just have to be spectators — you can be the MVPs of your child’s communication journey. We coach parents to turn daily routines like meals, play and bath time into language-building moments.

Research shows bilingualism doesn’t worsen language delays — it actually strengthens overall communication. Kids who grow up with two (or more) languages learn to transfer skills between them.

Tips for families who want to pass down their native language while supporting their child’s communication development:

1. Speak the language you’re strongest in with your child. They learn best from natural, confident communication.

2. Don’t switch back and forth mid-sentence. Use one language at a time to keep things clear.

3. Let your child mix languages. It’s completely normal and it shows they’re learning to use both.

4. Focus on talking rather than correcting by keeping conversation fun and natural — connection is what matters most!
