CK Mom and Baby Clinic The CK Mom and Baby Clinic is run by a group of midwives meeting a need in the community we love and cherish. There are no barriers to this service.

Care from a team of registered midwives in CK who provide:
- home visits
- early discharge from the hospital
- baby checkups including the 24 hour bloodwork
- breastfeeding assistance
- postpartum checkups & mental health check-ins
-OHIP covered (free) Our aim is to provide postpartum care for those who:
- do not have a family doctor
- experienced complications that required a specialist in their pregnancy and thus were not able to have a midwife
- desire thorough, high quality follow up for them and their baby without having to leave their home

Midwives are primary care providers. Midwives provide medical care to healthy women during pregnancy, deliver babies at the hospital and at home and then provide all the care women and their babies need in the early postpartum weeks. This "after care" includes the option of early discharge from the hospital after delivery, followed by home and clinic visits. Our aim is for more women and new families to be able to experience the care they deserve after bringing a baby into this world. That means this service is for you if you:
- had a cesarean or vaginal delivery
- have health complications
- breast feeding or bottle feeding (or a combo of both!)
- if you require prescriptions or other referrals (eg. counselling, paediatricians, mental health supports)

*CARE IS COVERED BY OHIP*

🌿 Exciting News! 🌿

I’m thrilled to share that I am now officially certified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)! 💚

Becoming an IBCLC is no small feat—it requires rigorous education, clinical experience, and passing a comprehensive international board exam. This certification is the gold standard in lactation support and allows me to provide expert guidance to families navigating infant feeding and breastfeeding challenges.

After months of intensive study, thousands of hours supporting parents and babies, and deepening my understanding of infant development, I’m so proud to bring this new level of care to my community.

Starting this fall, I’ll be offering private lactation appointments right here in my chiropractic practice—blending my passion for perinatal and pediatric care with evidence-based lactation support. Whether you're expecting, newly postpartum, or working through feeding challenges, I'm here to help you feel supported, empowered, and informed.

Stay tuned for details on how to book appointments. And thank you, as always, for trusting me with your care 💛

📢 The Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) immunization is recommended by the Ministry of Health for all babies born in Ontario after January 1, 2024.

RSV can cause serious respiratory complications, especially in infants under one year old, those born prematurely, or those with lung or heart conditions.

If your child is born in hospital, they will have the option to receive this injection after birth and before discharge. If your child was born before the start of RSV season and is less than one year of age, ideally, your child should receive this injection in early November.

💉 Options to receive the RSV immunization can be found here: https://www.ckoht.ca/2024/11/14/vaccine-2024-news-release/
