Parents, are you trying to think up innovative ways to keep your children occupied and happy now that they are “home for the holidays”? How about this: we’ll take care of the thinking for you — at least during the week of July 8 to 12 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. It’s Vacation Bible School time, and we’re here to help add some fun to your and your children’s summer.

Here are 5 reasons you’ll want to register your kids for Vacation Bible School at Richlands Seventh-day Adventist Church here in Cherryville:

1. Vacation Bible School is an exciting week packed with games, crafts, music, food, learning new things, and strengthening their spiritual journey!

2. Our enthusiastic volunteers can't wait to lead your kids, ages 05-12, through an unforgettable adventure!

3. Your children will enjoy the delicious, nutritious snacks provided!

4. This is a fun opportunity for your children to forge new friendships!

Bring Dad to the Cherryville Community Market this Sunday, June 16, for a delicious $12 Tex Mex brunch! We're talking Decadent Haystacks, a.k.a. Yummylicious Taco Salad Bowl. Think: tortilla chips topped with savoury bean chili, topped with shredded cheese, topped with romaine lettuce / tomatoes / cucumbers / sweet peppers / radishes, topped with sour cream, topped with guacamole, topped with salsa! STARTING TONIGHT VIA YOUTUBE! OUT OF THE CITIES!!! You simply MUST join us May 17-19 via YouTube livestream of our "Another Ark to Build" seminar. Throughout this weekend, Elvin Bridges of Living Manna Ministries will be sharing his experience, expertise, and God-given ministry regarding the why, how, what, and where of God's "out of the cities" message. The livestream starts at 6:30 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday evening, May 17. We'll start livestreaming again on Sabbath, May 18 at 9:00 a.m., then around 10:50 a.m. for the Worship Service, then at 3:30 p.m. for the afternoon presentation. A panel discussion about country living will be livestreamed at 5:00 p.m. On Sunday morning, we'll start livestreaming again at 11:30 a.m. At 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, depending on the weather, the Gardening Seminar (with Randy & Bev and Elvin & Marcia) may or may not be livestreamed. We scored!!! Soooo delighted that Phil Brewer of Silver Hills Guesthouse & Spa will be presenting a talk on maintaining good mental health at our upcoming Eden's Plate Dinner on Sunday, March 17!!!!! You'll enjoy the scrumptious Italian-inspired menu, too, so be sure to RSVP ASAP!!! If you enjoyed the last three dinners we've held, you won't want to miss this one! We had such a marvelous time at our first Eden's Plate Dinner & Movie back on January 28 and, now, our second Eden's Plate Dinner is coming up on February 18!! We had 40+ people attend in January, and space is limited, so RSVP ASAP if you'd like to come to our delicious February 18 event. After the super-delish sushi dinner, we'll show some healthy lifestyle video clips and talk more about the questions raised at the January dinner about plant-based eating.
