82.95 kgs tonight. My goal is 86. And I was at 84 just before the new year 🙁

So I’m going backwards…

Actually, I even peaked at 85.6 about 2 months ago.

So I’m REALLY going backwards!!!

AND???

Who cares?

I sure don’t.

Because I don’t really see it as going backwards. It’s just part of my journey.

I started at about 78 kilos a little over a year ago and there have been A LOT of ups and downs since then.

Progress is NOT linear.

If you look at my week to week or my month to month it’s all over the place.

Many downward trends!

Enough to make you get discouraged, if that’s all you focused on.

But when I look back at the whole year, the trend is upward and progress has been made! 💪🏼

Small wins are nice.

Small loses are nothing.

Consistency is EVERYTHING!!

One of my goals this year is to “get my knuckles back”

Things are progressing quite nicely 😊

I created a breakdown of progressive steps I could accomplish, and didn’t just leave it to the final goal.

I’m still a ways off my goal, but the fact that I’ve already accomplished 6 of the mini steps keeps me motivated to keep going.

Not gonna lie, with only 5 days left in the year, this feels pretty fu***ng awesome!

For a while I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it.

I had plateaus, I had setbacks, I went 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards, and I wanted to give up.

I rarely go for a weight change goal, but this time it was just about proving it to myself that I could.

My mind tried a few times to justify my way out of it, but as this shows, I didn’t let my mind have its way.

I’m ready for 2023 and moving the goal post a little further away to keep getting after it 💪🏼

Still no excuse though!

We live a very soft life and a little cold won’t hurt you.

Layers and heart rate do wonders to keep you warm!

Weekend workouts in the home gym are my new favourite.

I’m rested from a good sleep.

I’m not stressed from a busy day.

I can fuel myself effectively.

I’ve been able to push myself harder than I have been in the fast couple of months.

It’s always good to tweak the schedule and figure out what works best for you and your lifestyle.

But it's discipline that gets you accross the finish line.

Motivation comes and goes.

It's seasonal.

It's sensitive.

It's temperamental.

But discipline is a constant force.

It gives zero f*cks.

It makes sh*t happen, regardless of how you feel.
