Limited overnight availability remaining for April.

Overnight care in your home, provided by a Licensed Practical Nurse

I come in after your evening routine and take over the night so you can sleep.
Feeds, wake-ups, and routine care are handled so you can rest undisturbed.

This may be helpful during times like postpartum recovery, the newborn stage, disrupted sleep with older children, or parents returning to work. Needing rest doesn’t have to fit into a specific situation.

I’ve supported families for many different reasons. What they all had in common was needing and deserving uninterrupted rest.

Professionally trained and experienced in postpartum recovery, newborn care, infant safety and wellness, with additional experience supporting neurodivergent and higher-needs children.

Care is available for children from newborn up to age 4.

Message to book or to talk through availability.

Working as a nurse here in Newfoundland and running my practice, I hear from people every day trying to find the right support.

Overnight support for postpartum families and those with newborns and young children is truly the heart of my practice. It’s work I care deeply about, and I feel incredibly proud to be welcomed into the homes of families across NL during such an important time.

I’m so proud of this work and truly grateful for the families I’ve had the privilege of supporting so far and those I continue to support as this work grows. 🤍

I’m now working toward expanding my services to include overnight support and monitoring for seniors as well.

More details on that very soon. If this is something you’re looking for, you can message me now to ask questions or discuss support ahead of availability, which will be opening in the near future.

I do still have limited availability this month for postpartum, newborn, and young child overnight support. My inbox is always open! ☺️

Hi, and welcome to all the new faces here! 🤍

I’m Grey, a Licensed Practical Nurse providing in-home support for families with children from newborn up to 4 years old across the Avalon Peninsula.

I have the privilege of supporting families in their homes, caring for their little ones overnight, helping parents get real rest, and showing up in some of the most exhausting and overwhelming moments, and I am so grateful for all the families I’ve supported and continue to support.

I help parents get real rest, feel more regulated, and have consistent, safe support in their home.

A large part of my work is overnight support, where I provide full, hands-on care so parents can get uninterrupted sleep.

When you book a night, you choose your dates, and we’ll connect over video chat to go through your family’s needs, routines, and preferences together. I’ll also send over a few required forms, just like any professional practice, so everything is clear, safe, and tailored to you ahead of time.

Then I come in after your evening routine, you head to bed, and I take over. Feeds, diapering, soothing, night wakings, and routine care are all handled so you can actually sleep.

If you’re breastfeeding, I bring baby to you and settle them back so you can go right back to sleep.

I also provide overnight in-home childcare for children up to age 4 for parents who work nights, with the option to extend care into the morning so you can come home and rest before taking over again.

I remain awake throughout the night, and in the morning you’re given a clear summary of everything.

I support a wide range of family needs, including:
• newborn and infant care
• toddlers and children up to age 4
• multiple children overnight
• frequent waking or hard-to-settle children
• postpartum recovery
• feeding support (breast, bottle, pumping)
• support for neurodivergent or higher-needs children
• respite for overwhelmed households
• support for parents managing chronic illness, recovery from surgery, or other health challenges

Everything is tailored to your home, your kids, and your routines.

I know private care can feel out of reach.

I offer flexible booking and custom payment plans so this can actually be accessible, whether you need one night, a few nights, or ongoing support.

I’m fully insured and work within my scope as a nurse, with a strong focus on safety, observation, and calm, consistent care.

You don’t need to clean, get dressed, or have anything figured out. This is real life, and I’m here to support you right in it.

If you’ve been pushing through exhaustion, trying to function on broken sleep, or feeling stretched too thin, this is exactly the kind of support I provide.

You don’t need a “good enough” reason to reach out. Wanting rest and support is already enough.

If you’re wondering what this could look like for your family, send me a message. We’ll figure it out together 🤍

There’s a kind of “I’m okay” that only really exists after you’ve had a baby.

The one you say because you don’t even know where to start if you told the truth.

Because how do you explain being this tired, this overstimulated, this needed all the time…
and still expected to function like yourself?

So you say you’re fine.

Most people accept that answer.

I don’t.

When I ask how you’re doing postpartum, I’m not asking to be polite.
I’m asking because I actually want to know.

You don’t have to clean it up.
You don’t have to make it make sense.
You don’t have to give me the version that’s easier to say.

You can tell me you’re overwhelmed.
You can tell me you’re not okay.
You can tell me it’s heavier than you expected.

I’m paying attention.
To you, not just the baby.

Because your wellbeing matters just as much in this stage.

I’m a nurse. I’m paying attention to things clinically, to what I’m seeing, to what might need support.

But I’m also someone who has been there.

I know how much goes unsaid in this time.

You don’t have to do that with me.

You don’t need to clean up the house before I arrive.
You don’t need to get dressed beyond pajamas.
There’s no performance needed here.
This is real life, and you’re allowed to exist in it exactly as you are.

I care that you are rested, comfortable, and feel confident in your home and in your role.

This is the kind of care I provide.
Quiet, real support, where you don’t have to pretend you’re okay.

If you’ve been needing rest, support, a soft place for what you’re feeling to land, or an extra set of hands, you can message me anytime.

Private in-home care is often assumed to be out of reach.

That’s a very real concern, and one I understand.

This practice has been intentionally structured to be accessible, while still providing safe, high-quality nursing care in the home.

Operated by a Licensed Practical Nurse and single parent, this service is built with a clear understanding of how different families are actually living and what support needs can look like.

No additional cost is applied based on the number of children in the home.

Flexible payment plans are available and are developed on a case-by-case basis to reflect each family’s individual circumstances.

For example, an overnight shift ($280) may be divided into 4 payments of $70, or 6 smaller payments. This is provided as a general illustration, and all arrangements are personalized.

Education, guidance, and mental health support are not separate add-ons. They are integrated into care as part of the support you receive.

Overnight in-home nursing support (8 hours): $280(Tax included. No additional or hidden fees.)

This service is designed to provide safe, responsive care for your child while you access protected, uninterrupted rest.

It may be more attainable than you think.

Please message for more information on services and pricing. 🤍

It Takes a Village would like to acknowledge World Autism Acceptance Day 🤍

Today isn’t about awareness in the sense of learning something new.

It’s about recognizing the lives that are already being lived. Fully, deeply, and often in ways the world doesn’t make easy.

Autistic children navigating environments that don’t always fit them.
Autistic adults carrying years of masking, adaptation, and resilience.
Caregivers learning, adjusting, advocating, and showing up every single day.

There is no single version of autism.
No one story that represents everyone.

Some days are calm and connected.
Some days are overwhelming, exhausting, and misunderstood.

All of it is real.

As both a nurse and an autistic person, I see how complex this can be. Not just clinically, but in real life. In homes. In routines. In the quiet moments no one else sees.

There is strength in every part of this.
Not the kind that gets celebrated loudly, but the kind that shows up anyway.

In regulation.
In patience.
In trying again tomorrow.

From one autistic adult to autistic individuals everywhere,
you are not too much, and you were never wrong for experiencing the world the way you do.

To caregivers and families, what you do matters more than most people will ever fully understand.

Today, and every day, you deserve support, respect, and acceptance for who you are.

What if support feels out of reach?

I’m a Postpartum & Family Night Nurse (LPN), and how I structure my support is intentional.

Because families are already navigating enough.

Recovery. Multiple children. Limited support. Exhaustion that doesn’t stop when the day ends.

There isn’t one version of a family that “qualifies” for help.

There’s just real life.

And in real life, support shouldn’t be another barrier to work around.

My work is built to provide overnight, in-home support that fits into that reality.

I support families with newborns through to age four, because those needs don’t end after the early weeks.

That means:

• I do not increase pricing based on the number of children in your home
• I offer flexible payment plans that are discussed and adjusted based on your situation
• I focus on practical, realistic support that works within your life

In Newfoundland and Labrador, access to care isn’t always simple or immediate.

Families are often managing long wait times, limited services, and gaps in support.

Part of why I structure my support this way is to remove as many barriers as I can, so more families have access to care, rest, and guidance when they need it.

Because support should not feel out of reach.

It should feel possible.

Support also means access to nursing knowledge.

• breastfeeding and feeding support
• understanding sleep patterns and rhythms
• recognizing developmental stages
• support during recovery after birth or surgery
• knowing what is expected, and what is not

Not just getting through the night, but understanding it.

My role is clear:

• Take over the active care overnight, including feeding, settling, diapering, and monitoring, while following your routines
• Maintain a calm, predictable environment so your home stays consistent and supported
• Protect your rest so you can recover, feel well, and function fully

Throughout the night, I observe feeding tolerance, behaviour, comfort, and overall wellbeing so care remains consistent and responsive, while also protecting your rest so you can recover, feel well, and function.

In the morning, you receive a clear summary so you know exactly how the night went.

Every family deserves access to both support and understanding.

If you’ve been considering support but weren’t sure if it was realistic for your situation, you’re welcome to reach out with questions.

No pressure. Just clear information so you can decide what works for your family.

It takes a village.

And for many families, that village is an essential part of getting through this stage of life.

It can include partners, family members, babysitters, doulas, and others who step in to support in different ways.

Each bringing their own strengths, and each playing an important role in helping a family feel supported, cared for, and able to rest.

My work is one part of that village.

I’m Grey, a Licensed Practical Nurse providing overnight, in-home support across the Avalon Peninsula.

As a nurse, I bring hands-on care together with clinical awareness, meaning I can assess, monitor, and support both you and your baby or child throughout the night.

For your baby or child:
• breastfeeding and latch support
• monitoring feeding patterns and tolerance
• observing comfort, behaviour, and overall wellbeing

For you:
• observing postpartum recovery, including C-section healing, abnormal bleeding patterns, pain levels.
• supporting physical recovery and mental wellness.

I have professional experience supporting neurodivergent children and those with more complex needs. I work with families with children up to age 4.

This kind of support is often used by:

• parents recovering after birth, surgery, or illness
• families navigating feeding challenges or frequent waking
• parents living with chronic pain, fatigue, or health conditions
• families with neurodivergent children or higher support needs
• households with multiple young children
• single parents or those managing nights alone
• shift workers or demanding schedules

🌙What a night looks like:

I arrive after your evening routine, we go over anything I need to know for the night, and then you go to bed.

I take over care overnight, feeding, settling, diapering, and keeping everything consistent with your routines so your home stays calm and familiar.

Throughout the night, I’m also monitoring your baby or child and quietly assessing how things are going.

In the morning, you receive a clear summary of the night.

The goal:

To give you a full stretch of uninterrupted rest, while your baby or child is cared for safely and consistently.

Because this goes beyond just getting through the night. It supports recovery, mental clarity, and how you’re able to function the next day.

My practice is fully insured and grounded in safe, accountable nursing care.

If you’ve been wondering whether this would fit your family, you’re always welcome to reach out. My inbox is always open for new bookings and returning families!

☀️ Daytime support options are available as well!
