🔥Please be safe when training!!!!! 🔥Before I was formally trained as a Personal Trainer I made mistakes and wasn’t as aware of what can go wrong with fitness. Injuries are easy when people aren’t aware/ trained. Please have someone reputable check your form and stop thinking TikTok influencers or because someone has a YouTube channel they know what they are doing safely. I especially dislike the ones who tell you a specific exercise is working one body part and it’s not even close. Just because people have been working out for years, it doesnt mean they know what they are talking about. I have had many people come to me locally, with injuries from people who haven’t been formally trained or are undertrained for what they are offering. Some injuries can last a lifetime. I am not afraid to admit I failed my certification the first time I wrote my exam, because I thought I knew plenty. I needed to invest more time and energy into what I was studying, and I did! I had to get 80% on one of the hardest exams I ever wrote. Theres a reason for that! You are holding people’s well being in your hands!
I choose to keep my license updated every year and it costs a considerable amount to do so. I keep doing this to keep people safe, who trust me to train them. When you walk in my room, I have your best interest at heart. I have been at this a long time and time and time again I prove my ability to work with anyone who needs it. You have an injury I will work around it. You have the right to ask if someone is trained and keeps their license current.
I am certified as a personal training specialist, hold training in children’s fitness, active aging, and certified as a chair yoga instructor. I take my position seriously and will always give you the best advice I have. If I am not sure of something I find out.
