So, why shouldn’t Greenway forage pellets replace hay in your horses diet?

Our pellets are made from premium ground alfalfa and timothy hays, and do not have the long fiber stems that your horse needs in their diet. Pellets are a great supplement to bolster existing forage programs of either loose hay or cubes.

Myth: Alfalfa is high in sugar and not safe to be fed to all horses.

Fact: Most legumes, like alfalfa, are actually LOWER in sugar than the grass hays that make up many horses diets. High protein does NOT equate to high sugar.
