Just had a very sad thought cross my mind......what if our lack of extra parental support (with mental health etc) growing up is what forced us to have closer longer lasting relationships with our friends? Seems these days, our sometimes overcompensating trying to unconditionally support has had a negative effect on how strong our children's friendships have become. Wish it was the opposite where The more support you have the more supported you FEEL
