The Comox Denture Clinic is happy to announce that we are open as of June 2nd. Many of our patients fall within categories that are the most vulnerable to Covid-19 and we are taking our re-opening very seriously. We want you to feel safe coming in to the clinic.
As clinic owner, Jan Lefeber, was following along with the news in March he made the decision to close the clinic doors. Usually we would say it was a tough decision to shut down but, truth be told, it wasn’t. Jan felt that patient safety was top priority. As it was becoming more and more clear just how vulnerable the older population is to Covid-19 he felt that shutting down was simply the right thing to do. And, although Jan barely knows what to do with himself when he isn’t working, he figured it out. Let’s just say that his lawn has never looked better (and the bar on that was already set pretty high). We are also lucky that in this day and age we could still keep in contact with our patients via phone and email while the clinic was closed.
As we move forward, things in the clinic will look a little bit different than they used to. At this time, we are spacing out appointments in an appropriate manner that ensures that no more than one patient is in the clinic at a time. We are working diligently to keep our once busy waiting area empty. Rest assured that we are following all of the recently issued guidelines on personal protective equipment and social distancing. We are keeping up to date with all of the recommendations from the BC Centre for Disease Control, The College of Denturists of BC, the office of the Provincial Health Officer, WorkSafe BC and The Association of Denturists of BC. We know that this is a stressful time for many people and we want to assure you that the health of our patients is of the utmost importance to us. We are doing our best to move forward in a manner that is safe for all of our patients and also for our staff. Hello everyone, we are happy to announce that the Comox denture clinic is open as of June 2nd. We are easing back in to work for the time being and keeping things at the clinic much slower than usual. At this time, we are seeing patients by appointment only. We are no longer able to accommodate walk-in inquiries or issues. Please call or email us to discuss your denture questions and concerns or to make an appointment.

At this time, the Comox Denture Clinic is closed. As the cases of Covid 19 began to rise in BC, we made the difficult decision to temporarily close our doors. We did this with the safety of our patients in mind. We look forward to getting back to work when it is safe for us to do so. The most recent communication with Denturists in BC has conveyed that we are now able to see patients for emergencies only. If you have a denture emergency or if you just have questions for us please phone or email the clinic. We continue to check our phone messages and emails regularly.

We hope that everyone is staying safe during this time and we look forward to the day when we can re-open our doors to serve the people of the Comox Valley.
