Today is Red Dress Day, a National Day of Awareness to remember Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people. Inspired by Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project, the red dress serves as a powerful symbol of the disproportionate violence Indigenous women face in Canada.
This day of remembrance is personal for us at Comox Physio, as we also honour the memory of Shannon’s cousin, Danielle Larue, who has been missing since 2002. ❤️
