So the renovations are not quite complete on the new clinic so we will need a few more days. In the meantime you can continue to contact Dr. A via phone 709-699-1718. Note he gets a lot of calls so it may take him a few days to get back to you. We will update again on Tuesday evening . Sorry for the inconvenience

Hey all,
Doc is officially back from vacation however there won't actually be an office for him to work out of until 20/23. If you need him please call him at 709-699-1718.

You may notice our old space is now under renovation and the plan is on the 21st of August to reopen in our new space, the previous site of Summerhill medical clinic. That is directly across from McDonalds in the same building as Villa Nova Pharmacy.

This move will give us much more space to expand our services in the future. Once we open please note that all who visit will need to bring their MCP card to be seen and to update their address and phone number with the secretary. We are changing our computer system as well so will need your information and card in order to be seen. Thanks for your patience and hopefully we will see you in our new space!!

You will notice that our old clinic is closed at the moment and is being renovated!! Exciting times to come for us and our patients.

Dr. Aguilar is on vacation and out of the country for the next 10 days. He is inavailable for any type of consult at this time. Samantha, our nurse practitioner is working from Summerhill medical clinic Mondays and Tuesdays on a walk in basis for our patients, and is happy to help with any needs you may have. Please go to see her there.

Once again Dr. A will not be answering calls or messages for the next 10 days. We ask that all patients respect his well deserved time off.

Hey all,
We want to inform our patients that Dr. A will be taking a well deserved vacation from July 24 to August 2, inclusive. He will return to the office August 7. Please arrange to see him beforehand if you will need refills. There may be days when the NP is available during this time but nothing confirmed yet. We will update this site with information when we get it.
Once again please do not leave messages here about medical needs as this is not a secure site and your personal information is at risk.

Hey Everybody
This forum was set up to keep you all in the loop about any change in clinic hours, services we might provide and health information. This is not a means to try to contact the doctor for a virtual visit. The Facebook messenger platform is not a secure and confidential means to relay personal information and we advise against it. The doctor does not review this page as that is not its purpose.
If you wish to have a virtual visit with the doctor you can call our office number 709-834-2131 and leave your name with the secretary who will have the doctor call you back. Outside office hours you can text a message to 709-699-1718 and request a virtual visit. PLEASE DO MOT CALL THIS NUMBER DURING OFFICE HOURS. The doctor will be seeing patients and it is very disruptive to the patient visit as you can imagine. The virtual visits are fit in between patients or at the end of the day if time available.
I hope this clarifies the purpose of this page and Happy Spring everyone!! 🤞

Welcome to Villa Nova Medical Clinic's new page!! We are happy to provide this space to share news and information with our patients.

Presently we have working at the clinic our General Practitioner Dr. Eslier Aguilar, or Dr. A to most; Samantha Furlong our Nurse Practitioner, and Michelle Aguilar, our Part time RN. All are more than happy to provide care.

You may note a few changes in our office lately. We have added Belen Aguilar as a part-time receptionist along with the irreplaceable Florence Lessard. Please welcome her and be kind as she is still learning the ropes.

You may have also noticed the coming and going of students in the clinic. We foster the learning of Nurse Practitioner students and hopefully some Family Medicine students to hopefully help improve the opportunities for healthcare in our community.

We would like to make you aware of a few things:
1. When you get bloodwork/ tests done, please be aware that it is your responsibility to return to the clinic to speak to someone about the results. The volume of call backs required for our staff to follow up on these sort of things is not manageable.
2. There is blood collection next door for a fee for those who do not wish to make the trip to town.
3. We continue to operate on a same day sign in schedule. Come in the day you wish to be seen and sign your name. You will be seen within that day though it may require long waits. You are free to leave and come back. The day fills up pretty quickly so the earlier you arrive to sign in the better.

We will continue to update regularly

Please remember that our frontline staff are enforcing rules put forth by the Physician. Always treat them with respect, abusive behaviour will not be tolerated
