When Danny Sinagra lost his wife Maria, his world stopped. With the help of Family & Patient Support Counsellor, Shannon Ball, at Carefor Hospice Cornwall he was able to start his life again. Through one on one counselling sessions and then becoming an active member of Hospice's Grief and Bereavement Support Group, Danny found ways to keep living while holding the memory of his beloved Maria in his heart.

Today is National Grief and Bereavement Day and is a day to reflect on loss and how we move through it by ourselves and with others at our side.

Read Danny's story about dealing with his grief with help from Shannon and a newfound community.
