Born in Port Hardy and raised in Courtenay, BC, Heidi Pearson is a mother, lifelong student of movement, and soon-to-be Pilates teacher with a deep passion for healing through exercise and self-discovery. Having navigated her own share of life’s challenges, she found her way back to herself through resilience, purpose, and the transformative power of Pilates.

For Heidi, Pilates is more than exercise — it is a healing experience and a creative space to grow, rebuild, and reconnect. She hopes to create an environment where others feel encouraged, supported, and empowered in their own journeys. She has completed her Mat and Reformer training at all three levels and is currently finishing her full Apparatus certification.

Outside her Pilates practice, she’s busy raising her energetic 9-year-old son, fishing for her own food, and dreaming of one day parking a food truck outside a Pilates studio. A childhood dancer at heart, she decided to trade the tutu for a black belt in karate — but she’ll still follow a disco ball anywhere it leads!!

She is a Stott certified Reformer Pilates Instructor | Personal Trainer | Fallproof Training | Osteofit | 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Instructor.

Kim is driven by a passion for movement & desire to help others. She believes Pilates is for everyone and is eager to help the older adult achieve their fitness goals.

New Instructor..same face ✨

Hi Everyone!

Many of you already know me from my past four years at Aligned Movement, and I’m so excited to share that I’ll be joining our incredible team of instructors starting Sundays this Spring semester.

Pilates has helped me build a deep connection to my body and functional movement. I truly believe every body is a Pilates body, and that with the right movement we can stay strong and mobile at any age.

My love for this community and the transformational benefits of pilates inspired me to complete my instructor training, and I can’t wait to start moving with you all soon! 🤍
