Lake Echo, now at 514 Ponderosa, is scheduled to be open at 1. But do NOT venture out if you feel unsafe, DO please call though if you will not be coming. Due to the inclement weather, we'll be closing the office at 5:30 this evening to make sure we can all get home safely. We'll be back tomorrow at 9:00 until 5:00 to finish off 2025!

2 weeks ago, I spoke at Dr. Tharps celebration of life. Saddened even more to see this today. This man came up with the technique that saved my back and my career. I and all my patients are indebted to Dr. Cox for a technique that has helped us all. I was fortunate to study directly with Dr. Cox and be treated by Dr. Cox. Rest in peace, you will be missed but NEVER forgotten.

Our Story

Dr. Marc Baker developed a special interest in spinal disc issues in Chiropractic College. The Cox Technique (flexion distraction/decompression) was a fit for how he wanted to help people with back pain. After experiencing a disc herniation himself his interest grew in this technique that was developed for those kinds of problems. Dr. Baker wanted to create a health care facility that not only addressed and focused on disc issues but all muscoloskeletal issues. Our first office was opened in Musquodoboit Harbour in 2011 and Dartmouth followed in 2015. The Disc Clinic is now a multi-disciplinary clinic with offices located in Musquodoboit Harbour, Dartmouth, and Mahone Bay (Chiropractic only), N.S. The Disc Clinic currently offers Chiropractic, Massage Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Custom Orthotics at the Musquodoboit and Dartmouth locations and Chiropractic only in Mahone Bay.
