I want to take this time to offer a heartfelt chi-miigwech to everyone who helped make our 23rd Annual Traditional Powwow in our beautiful home community of Kikendaad, Dokis First Nation such a meaningful and powerful celebration.

To all of the dancers, singers, head staff, invited guests, volunteers, firekeepers, vendors, sponsors, fish fry catering, community members, and those who traveled from near and far—thank you for coming together to share in the spirit of our gathering. Your presence and energy helped make this weekend truly special.

A huge shoutout and deep gratitude to our powwow committee—you showed up in every way possible. From brainstorming and fundraising, to organizing accommodations for our guests, setting up in the rain, and keeping everything running smoothly through the weekend (registration, ticket sales, and lots of running around!), your dedication did not go unnoticed. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Here’s to community, culture, and coming together in a good way. Baamaapii kina wiya 🦅

Next year, come celebrate with us June 27 & 28, 2026 for our 24th Annual Traditional Pow Wow

Its Pow Wow Day! Here is a glimpse of the day, please note some agenda items have changed and been added! Grand Entry at 12pm! Registration for Dancers & Singers opens at 11AM and closes at 2PM.

Miss Kikendaad A Year of Jingles Special has moved to SNL after 7pm Grand Entry!

If you would like any other requests, please see Arena Director and/or Emcees!

Drive Safe everyone! Please following parking directions, cash on hand for Vendors and bring a bottle for the water station!

- Please Enter & Exit at designated areas, it is a ONEWAY driveway.
- Parking is in the field and areas on Old Graveyard Rd. There will be volunteers directing traffic.
- Rough Camping is in blue area, please NO TENTS in parking area, you will be asked to move.
- Travel Trailers, in yellow area. First come first serve, please see a volunteer before parking. No hook ups or water.
