The Malone Medical Clinic regrets to announce the permanent closure of the clinic effective June 30th, 2023. This decision is influenced by consistent Physician shortages and challenges in recruitment.
Dr. Mike Peyton, Dr. Ros Beacom, Dr. Raf Ali and Dr. Amna Ali will be retiring from their practice in Drayton Valley as of June, 30th 2023. Dr. Afe Olokor will be relocating her practice to Edmonton as of June 30th, 2023.
The Clinic will continue to provide services at the Malone Clinic in May and June.
Lab services in the clinic will cease May 26th, 2023 and patients will need to make alternative arrangements for lab testing etc. at the Drayton Valley hospital.
Faxed requests to the Clinic for refills of Prescriptions from Drug Stores will cease on June 21st, 2023.
Access to Patient charts will be available upon request at the Drayton Valley Primary Care Office (PCN), in keeping with the College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSA) guidelines. The Clinic recognizes that Patients will have concerns regarding their future medical care, Patients can express their concerns to AHS Central Zone Medical Administration, local Town Councilors and MLA Andrew Boitchenko. Contact details can be provided upon request.
