✨ Cowichan Indigenous Knitted Slipper Socks ✨

These are truly special. Each pair is hand-knitted by a local, and completely one-of-a-kind — no two are the same.

They’re the kind of cozy luxury you give to someone you really care about (or keep for yourself, no judgment 🤍).

To help with fit, I’ve included a ruler in each photo — please use the measurements shown to decide if the size is right for you.

• $65 per pair
• Limited availability — once they’re gone, they’re gone
• Sales close end of day Sunday
• I’m leaving town Monday, so this is the last chance to purchase before Christmas 🎄

If one catches your eye, send me a message to claim it.

𝑶𝒌𝒂𝒚, 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍.

The girls — Dr. Cleo (Olivia, the serious scientist) and Dr. Einstein (Naomi, the chaos gremlin 🤣) — just filmed their very first YouTube episode, and they NAILED it. 👏✨

We ran a full-on lab experiment to test PodoExpert and show what actually happens when it comes into contact with the atmosphere. Spoiler: it EXPANDS… and honestly, it’s so satisfying to watch. 👀🔥

If you’ve ever wondered why a t𝐢n𝐲 𝟏2𝟓 𝐦L b𝐨t𝐭l𝐞 𝐨f P𝐨d𝐨E𝐱p𝐞r𝐭 𝐥a𝐬t𝐬 𝐥o𝐧g𝐞r t𝐡a𝐧 𝐚 𝐡u𝐠e p𝐮m𝐩 𝐨f r𝐞g𝐮l𝐚r l𝐨t𝐢o𝐧 — this video finally shows the proof.
(And yes, the kids were 𝚅𝙴𝚁𝚈 serious about being “real scientists.” Lab coats were worn. Giggles were… attempted to be suppressed.)

✨ 𝟒+ 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭… 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ✨

These feet hadn’t been treated for dry, callused, and cracked skin in over 4 years.
While the results aren’t “perfect” yet, this client’s feet were so smooth she almost broke down in tears. 💙
She told me she never expected them to feel this good.

For this appointment, I used the 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐦 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 — a gentle but effective system that softens dry, hard skin so it can be safely scraped and buffed away.

After treatment, I started her on 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 to kickstart the deeper healing process. This professional-grade foam helps repair the skin barrier from the inside out, locking in hydration so the results last longer between visits.

In more extreme cases like this one, we recommend:

A follow-up visit in 2 weeks for best results.

Ongoing skin care & regular maintenance to keep the feet in top condition.

💡 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬:
When skin is dry and cracked, it’s constantly losing moisture (known as transepidermal water loss). This makes it nearly impossible to keep hydration in — any progress can slip away quickly.
Once the cracks are healed and the skin barrier is healthy, it becomes so much easier to maintain smooth, comfortable feet.

There is hope — and it can start today. 🦶💙

🌟 Did you know we offer toenail reconstruction? 🌟

If you’ve lost a toenail or have one that’s damaged, thickened, or just doesn’t look the way it used to — you’re not alone. And more importantly: you’re not out of options.

We offer cosmetic toenail reconstruction — a gentle, non-invasive treatment that restores the look of a natural nail. Whether you're preparing for a special event or simply want to feel more confident in open-toed shoes, this service can make a world of difference. 💅

✔️ Looks natural and smooth
✔️ Can be polished or left bare
✔️ Applied with medical-grade products in a fully sterile, professional setting

✨ While some salons may offer similar cosmetic services, it’s extremely rare to find this kind of advanced reconstruction done by a licensed foot care provider. It’s a niche skill — and one that we’re proud to offer here at Longevity Foot Care.

📍We’re located at 255 Ingram Street, Duncan

From community to classroom —foot care in all its forms.

👣 This morning, I’ll be in Lake Cowichan providing care to clients—some new, some familiar—but all part of a community that’s trusted me with their foot health for years. 🙏

📚 This afternoon, I’m honoured to be speaking with newcomers and refugees at the Cowichan Intercultural Society, sharing practical tips on maintaining healthy feet at home.

I’ve packed handouts, samples, and my usual go- getter energy. 😎 Nothing fancy—just useful info, thoughtful care, a little heart and lots of feet. 👣💛

🦶✨ What does diabetic foot care actually look like?

Here’s a full visit — start to finish — so you can see exactly how we do things at Longevity: gentle, effective, and tailored for real feet with real needs.

In this video, I walk you through how I managed deep IPK calluses, the tools I used (and why), and share some practical skincare advice — including my secret cleanser trick that so many foot care nurses have been asking about. 👀

Whether you’re curious what a typical appointment might look like for you or you’re a nurse who likes to keep learning, this one’s got a little something for everyone.

🎥 Watch the full visit here — and if you’re one of our Longevity clients missing your foot care nurse, consider this your top-up treatment to tide you over until we see you again. 😉

Would you wear these? 👀
(A little local experiment…)

I had this beautiful pair of slippers made — hand-knit by a Vancouver Island Indigenous artisan with undyed yarn, and soled using naturally smoked and tanned leather. 🧶🐾

They’re cozy, breathable, and built to last. (I was told these can hold up for 10 years — but full disclosure: I’ll have to wear them for 10 years to personally verify that. 😄)

I’m wondering if there might be local interest in something like this. If people love them, I may explore having a small batch made to offer here in the community.

What do you think?
Would you wear a pair like this?

Seeking Foot Care Clients to Support Nurse Education
🦶📹

I'm currently looking for 1–2 clients per week who are open to having their foot care visit filmed for educational purposes. These videos help train foot care nurses across Canada — and your anonymous contribution could make a real difference.

I'm especially looking for unique cases involving:
🔸 Large, painful or deep corns
🔸 Long or thickened nails
🔸 Ingrown toenails
🔸 Thick, cracked callus or heel fissures

🎥 What to expect:

Only your feet and my hands will be shown — never your face or name

The footage will be used on YouTube to support nurse education

You'll receive the same thoughtful care I provide all my clients — just with a bit of extra lighting 😉

✨These spots are limited, and care will be provided by me (Chrystal). Most of m𝐲 practice is now focused on teaching, so this is a small window where 𝐈'𝐦 able to care for new clients directly. ☺️

💡Of course, we continue to welcome all foot care clients — with our amazing team offering both in-clinic and in-home care for all other needs.

If you or someone you know might be a good fit — and would love to support this educational effort — send me a message. 💬

Thank you for helping us raise the standard of foot care and nurse education across Canada. ❤️
