What is a Reiki Practitioner?

Some think they are spiritual healers called by the universe to heal others. The truth is when a practitioner is working with you they are a conduit for universal life force energy (love, the highest vibrational energy) to provide mind, body and energy healing. Every human being is capable of channeling this energy. Those who are trained as practitioners are attuned to this energy and have their own daily personal Reiki practices that support their ability to give to others. Spirituality is often connected to the daily personal practice but it does not enter the healing session, nor does Religion of any sort.

So we are not called upon as special healers. We feel a calling to learn, become attuned to and channel the energy that we are all surrounded by. We heal mind, body and spirit by channeling love energy. Our focus is on stillness and silence as we allow the energy to flow through us for the receivers highest good.

Dying isn’t bad…..we all do it!

The journey at end of life is often seen as a dark, scary and negative thing. It really is quite beautiful spiritually. The physical aspects are certainly not beautiful nor is the grief we experience as those left behind.

The physical body and the spirit begin separating when it is time. As the physical body is shutting down, the spirit is moving to a beautiful place. It is part of the human experience.

Create space for the beauty of the transition when possible. Provide energy cleansing of the physical body and space around to bring peace and love to everyone walking alongside the dying person.

Someday it will be you, what do you want your death experience to be?

Creator of space - that's how I see my role as a human being. It is my purpose and it is reflected in all of the work that I do. I have been volunteering at Hospice and it has been such an honor to create space for people to be on their own personal journey at end of life. My work as a Doula is all about creating space, that's the only possible way to approach it. Honor the essence of the person, support them on their journey. We live in a slender margin between life and death, we get to choose how to fill it.

Here’s a little bedtime story for you. I start my day with a positive morning message through my insight timer app. I end the day with an evening meditation either on Gaia or insight timer.
