As a career psychotherapist, I’ve been watching a deeply concerning pattern unfold, people are burning out at record rates because they’re being overworked, and boundaries simply aren’t in place to protect their time.

When boundaries don’t exist, employees silently absorb more work, longer hours, and misaligned expectations until they hit a breaking point.

Here’s the truth: boundaries aren’t about being difficult or unavailable, they’re about protecting your mental health so you can actually do good work sustainably.

They teach others how to treat you, help you push back with confidence, and create the space you need to stay engaged without burning out.

This carousel breaks down exactly how to set those boundaries, from clarifying expectations upfront to respectfully saying no when your capacity is full.

If you’ve been feeling the weight of overwork or struggling to draw the line, this is your sign.

And if you want more support in your journey let’s chat.

The “Sunday Scaries” aren’t just about not wanting to work on Monday.

They’re your internal alarm system telling you something is off.

Research shows that 61% of workers experience Sunday anxiety, and 73% report physical symptoms like insomnia and headaches.

But here’s what most people miss: the Sunday Scaries are often a sign of career misalignment, not just work stress.

When your daily work doesn’t align with your values, strengths, or purpose, Sundays become filled with dread. Your body knows before your mind fully accepts it.

The good news? This feeling is data. It’s telling you where to look.

In this carousel, I break down:
→ Why the Sunday Scaries happen
→ The real cost of career misalignment
→ What you can do to find alignment again

If you’re tired of dreading Monday before Sunday ends, let’s talk. I help professionals move from feeling stuck to finding clarity and alignment in their careers.

📅 Drop a comment or DM me to book a free career alignment call. Your Sundays can feel different.

More and more professionals are unhappy in their current role, they are experiencing increasing levels of career dissatisfaction, workplace burn-out, and they are unsure about how to move forward in the next steps of their career. Creating New Steps helps professionals find their passions and purpose in their career and provides tools and strategies to help them succeed. It also helps support organizations in their goals to help employees succeed in their roles and enhance employee engagement.

Social Work and Focus Area

Social work practices involves the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of individuals, families, couples or groups experiencing challenges in their life. As a licensed social worker my focus areas is in two parts: helping individuals who are in a career transition and helping those who need stress management or work-life balance. My passion is to help people succeed. I choose to focus on solutions rather than concentrating on the past. I provide a solution focused approach to help individuals best navigate their career.
