How to shift out of your head 👇

1. Become self aware.

You live 90% of your day in autopilot and you might not even notice when you are saying these things about food causing your subconscious to drive over eating without you even noticing.

2. Identify when you are saying or thinking things about food that are causing you to think about food scarcely. Bring that thought from your subconscious into the forefront of your brain.

3. Neutralize and change that thought. Don’t let that thought ruin your eating and health any longer!

4. Create a new narrative around food that keeps you in your body and in control.

Hands up 🙋‍♀️ if you remember the Special k diet?

Looking back at it now it’s mind blowing 🤯 that we believed it. Right?!

But the same thing is still happening- just in different form.

‼️Every single “health” trend is just another form@of the special K diet.

So are you over it yet? Are you over trying each new@trend that emerges only to feel disappointed that it didn’t work?

💔 I know I was.

What doesn’t change, is how beneficial a healthy relationship with food is.

✨One that allows you to eat a variety of foods, in a way that feels amazing (mentally & physically).

✨One that allows you to ignore the made up food rules and trends and just eat the foods that make you feel good.

✨One that takes away the stress and guilt from eating and makes food enjoyable again.

Food Freedom is really about learning to live in the ‘grey zone’.

⚖️ It’s the area between to two extremes:
1️⃣ One side restriction, rules, food obsession, micro managing everything you eat, eating only ‘healthy foods’. And
2️⃣ the other side of over eating, bingeing, eating only ‘less healthy foods’, and feeling out of control with food.

The middle is what I like to call the ✨sweet spot✨ because that’s where the magic happens.

💫You can trust your hunger cues
💫You effortless stop eating when you are full (no matter the food)
💫You crave a variety of foods (including ‘healthy foods’
💫You aren’t using food as an emotional tool
💫You know that your body can self regulate your appetite and metabolism

And it’s where eating becomes easy, natural and enjoyable!

Your feelings of guilt (and shame) around food are DEEPLY rooted in your subconscious brain 🧠.

And when you decide to give up d.ieting (yay 🎉) and give your self permission to eat any food (double yay 🎉🎉) if that guilt is still running in the background—- it messes everything up (👎 not yay).

This is important 👇

Trying to micromanage every bite of food you eat is working against you.

Because your body wasn’t designed to work that way.

✨Your body is sent AF and it has systems in place to regulate both the macro and micro nutrients you need AND the total energy you need.

All based on:
💤 the amount/ quality of sleep you got
😖 the amount of physical/mental stress you are under
🏃‍♀️ how active you were the previous days
🍌 what and how much you ate the previous days
🧬 your biology- and what your body requires
❤️ your hormones and body cycles
Etc.

And allowing it to eat a variety of foods, in a varied way ensures that you get all the nutrients your body needs.

Let go reigns. Learn to listen & trust your body. Let eating become easy & fun!
