A tradition that's close to our hearts ❤️

For many years, our Rotary Club members have proudly jingled the bells and collected donations for the Salvation Army's Christmas Kettle Campaign. Each ring of the bell represents hope, generosity, and our community coming together to support those in need during the holiday season.

Thank you to everyone who stopped, smiled, and donated. Your kindness truly makes a difference.

We're grateful to continue this meaningful tradition and to serve our community, one jingle at a time.

A huge thank-you to each of you who volunteered at the Food Bank last night. This was a wonderful joint effort between staff from MacEwan University Health Centre and our club members and it was inspiring to see both groups come together with a shared purpose. It truly means a lot to see people take time out of busy lives to give back to the community.

There’s a saying that the moment you forget you’re volunteering to help change lives is when you realize—it’s changing yours, and that certainly rang true throughout the evening.

Together, we sorted an impressive amount of food donated by generous Edmontonians and packed countless hampers that will soon be delivered to families experiencing food insecurity. Your hard work, positive energy, and willingness to help made a real difference.

The evening definitely boosted our Christmas spirit and reminded us what this season is all about—kindness, generosity, and community.

Thank you again for showing up, pitching in, and being the incredible team that you are. You guys are the best!!!

What an amazing night! Together with an outstanding group of volunteers from Edmonton West, , and we helped unload 19,000+ kg of food donations for ETS Stuff-a-Bus—supporting Food Banks across the region during the holiday season.

Huge thanks to Edmontonian's for stepping up with food donations and supporting your community when it matters most.

Extra appreciation to Lorne, who was instrumental in directing volunteers and keeping the loading process safe and smooth. Thank you to everyone who continues to show up year after year. Community support is what makes this campaign possible. 🙌❤️

This weekend, our club proudly supported the Wounded Warriors Rucksack for Remembrance Walk — a powerful tribute to those who’ve served and sacrificed for our country.

200 participants walked in honour, carrying the weight to remember those we've lost and to support the veterans, first responders, and their families who continue to carry invisible burdens every day.

We’re proud to share that our club donated $3,000 toward Wounded Warriors Canada’s Kids Programs — supporting the children of our injured heroes with vital mental health and resiliency services. 💙

On behalf of those whose lives have been touched by the incredible work of Wounded Warriors Canada, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ian Hall and his entire team.

Your ongoing commitment to supporting veterans, first responders, and their families is not only deeply appreciated — it’s truly life-changing. The dedication, compassion, and resilience you bring to this mission do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for standing beside those who serve and sacrifice, and for creating pathways to healing, hope, and strength. You are making a real difference.

Edmonton West Volunteers have been helping with the Thanksgiving event at Boyle Street Plaza for the last 10 years. It's a wonderful way to bring the community together.

Volunteers from the MacEwan University Rotaract Club were up bright and early to help decorate Boyle Street Plaza in preparation for a heartwarming Thanksgiving Feast. The NAIT Culinary Arts students generously prepared a delicious turkey dinner, which was served to over 700 guests from the Boyle Street Community.

Rotarians from Edmonton West warmly welcomed attendees, serving up plates of hot, nutritious meals. The event was filled with more than just food—there was music, engaging activities, and access to essential supplies to meet basic needs.

A special thank you to Guta from Sherwood Park Cobb's Bread, who generously donated six bins filled with bread, buns, and Danishes after hearing about the event.

Huge thanks go out to Dan, Kassidy, Theresa, and all the staff from Boyle Street Community Services for their incredible efforts in organizing the feast and for the ongoing work they do to support the community.
