The work of supporting the reflex system, the basis of sensory, motor development and a strong nervous system, is standing in high ranking for understanding how to work with the nervous systems of traumatized bodies and neuro deficit development.

✨ Important message from Dr.Masgutova ✨

Dear MNRI®️ Team,
Yes! Our live presentations on the MNRI®️ ®️ Method at the 22nd Annual Neurotech Convention of the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT) in Los Angeles (Feb 27 – March 2) marked a significant milestone in MNRI®️ history. This event has not only reinforced the impact of our work but has also inspired us to strive for even greater progress. None of this would have been possible without you—our incredible team of dedicated professionals helping children and adults in need, our instructors educating specialists and parents, and the unwavering support of Masgutova organizations.
Our presentations were delivered on behalf of three Masgutova Method organizations: SMEI, the Masgutova Foundation, and the Masgutova Graduate School of Neurodevelopmental Science (MGS).
Dr. Babak Kateb, Ph.D., Chairman and CEO of SBMT, and his team brought together world-renowned researchers, scientists, and medical professionals across various fields, including neuroscience, neurosurgery, engineering, imaging, radiology, ophthalmology, molecular biology, oncology, psychiatry, and psychology.
We were honored to be invited by Dr. Deborah Zelinsky, SBMT President (2023-24) and an exceptional neuro-optometry specialist. Dr. Zelinsky and her team expressed great appreciation for our research, which integrates MNRI®️ reflex assessment, QEEG, physiological markers, neurotransmitters, visual skills, academic performance in reading and writing, and the practical outcomes observed in our work with children and adults.
Attending this convention allowed us to gain fresh insights and knowledge from esteemed experts while further validating the scientific foundation of MNRI®️ ®️. It was deeply gratifying to witness the recognition of our work and its significance for clients of all ages and professionals in the field.
A special highlight was our interaction with Dr. Stefano Sinicropi, a distinguished spine surgeon and the host of the SBMT Podcast. His enthusiasm for learning about Masgutova Reflex Integration was truly inspiring.
Moreover, it was profoundly moving to be among professionals who dedicate their lives to saving others—both in their homelands and in conflict zones.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Isabelle Renard-Fontaine, MSPT and an expert in preemie and infant development, as well as an MNRI®️ Instructor, for her outstanding and inspiring presentation at SBMT. Her years of dedication to supporting children, adults, and professionals through our Neurodevelopmental Reflex Integration programs have been instrumental in the growth of MNRI®️.
To our entire MNRI®️ team—thank you! You have played a crucial role in making MNRI®️ a globally recognized method. I am truly honored to be part of this reliable and motivated community. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives and health of children worldwide.
I encourage each one of you to support the MNRI®️ Method by sharing this event with the world—or at least with one person you deeply value.
The MNRI®️ Method continues to grow thanks to your support and the many accomplishments of each organization:
1. SMEI aims to empower and support our global community in reaching their fullest potential through neurodevelopment-focused education based on the profound simplicity of reflex integration. Recently, SMEI published a variety of innovative Avatar: MNRI®️ Archetype Movements videos.
2. The Masgutova Foundation advances knowledge, scientific research, and awareness of neuroreflex integration and neurodevelopment. They continuously develop programs to raise global awareness and education, including weekly Neuroreflex exercises and community programs. This year promises new offerings that will further elevate neurodevelopment awareness.
3. The Masgutova Graduate School of Neurodevelopmental Science (MGS) provides cutting-edge, career-focused educational opportunities in neurodevelopment, neuromodulation, and neurosensorimotor reflex integration. Students can pursue a Master of Science degree in Neurodevelopmental Science or audit courses as non-degree-seeking students. Exciting new learning opportunities will be available in 2025, so stay tuned! Additionally, MGS recently established its official Institutional Review Board (IRB) to begin reviewing internal and external research proposals.
Thank you all for your dedication, passion, and unwavering support in advancing the MNRI®️ Method.

With gratitude and appreciation,
Yours, Svetlana Masgutova, Ph.D.

Have you had lasting impacts on your body after having a trauma that just don't seem to be going away? Are you quick to startle? Are you feeling more anxious? Are you seeming to look behind you more often? Are you more nervous?
Have you considered having your reflexes worked on after having a trauma? The reflexes provide a brain and body fast action messaging system. Their role is imperative in protecting the body when there has been a trauma. The tuck or duck, running or avoiding the issue, or putting up the fists for defense. The reflexes that take a high priority initiative in protecting us. Sometimes have remained in constant alert and have never allowed the body to return to a calm and relaxed state of being.
Imagine how working the program that keeps seeking protection, can also reset the body and brain to continue on towards growth and development. Working the reflexes clarifies the nervous feed, wakes up the nervous system, the sensory and motor responses, waking up areas of the brain that might not have been previously stimulated. Many surprising and beneficial outcomes have been forthcoming.

Happy New Year. Thank you for the past year of trust you have put into this work. I look forward to continuing to support your healing in the new year. May you have a wonderful year as we venture forward.
Please note there have been changes to the rate going forward, but still well within reason for this type of support.

I am just wanting to send out a huge thank you to you, the parents and persons who have sought out a new way to be supported and whom have found my work. I have been so inspired by the results I have seen from those who I have been able to support. For those who have not yet had a conversation with me, perhaps some day I can tell you about the little guy who was diagnosed with autism, non verbal, who didn't want to be touched as he was hyper sensitive. He began his therapy with me working as far away as I could (on one foot until he threw the other one into my lap to have it worked on as well). Working slowly and purposefully, he soon allowed his back to be worked on which prompted a deep sleep where he then allowed me to do a full battery of my protocols. After a few sessions his articulation and stories improved and he was quite happy to receive the touch. Perhaps I could tell you about the toe walking 14 year old who was flighty, unfocused, impulsive, labeled as having ADHD. The young guy was a brilliant thinker and easily absorbed information, but struggled with his ability to express his knowledge due to the output mechanisms not regulating. Working his tendon guard (the guard of the tendons which posture the body in fight, flight and freeze for quick reactivity to a stimulus) and other reflex supports on the feet and back allowed the heels to come down reducing his flightyness and impulsively, his body was able to pause before reacting making his behavior more appropriate. Or maybe I could share the stories of the individuals who came for concussion symtoms of dizziness and headaches, who after a few sessions made complete recoveries. Or how about the stories of the people who have come to me with emotionally weighted memories or traumas of the past that when guided to recognize where the emotion was being held and being given the opportunity to see oneself moving forward in wholeness into the future were able to quiet the replay loop to finally bring peace to a chaotic state of being. Those are stories I can celebrate and elaborate on and perhaps I could share a few others with you.
I just want to express my absolute gratitude for the trust I have been given with your beautiful children and your personal journeys. I remain always in awe of the beautiful transformations I see and hear about. This endeavour, my clients, have been such great teachers and I still and will most likely, always be a student.

This is an interesting article about the primitive or primary reflexes as they play a role universally in every individual.

Survival reflexes, originating from the brainstem, are involuntary motor responses that are present at birth and facilitate the survival of the neonate. The age of the baby is critical enough to give information about the maturation of these reflexes. In the case of preterm babies, the delayed matur...

This is an interesting listen if you want to know more about how the reflexes come into play when the body has gone through a trauma. It was beautiful to watch a friend shift out of his protective posture post a bad accident that he had been involved in using a few of the Masgutova protocols.

Even the tiniest of people benefit from having their nervous systems clarified and supported. Miss Eloise spent much of her appointment looking around the room, giggling at what she was feeling and enjoying what her body was capable of doing. What a pleasure it was to work with her.

Development is very Important when considering fine motor skill achievement.

Development is very Important when considering fine motor skill achievement.

Did you know that a 3-year old (top left image) and a 6-year old (top right image) have significantly different skeletal structure in their hands?! Notice the bones in the wrist of the 3-year old -- many of them are still mostly cartilage! Look at all the spaces in between the bones where muscles and tendons will change through the years. Even the difference between a 6-year old and a 14-year old (lower right) is huge!

Preschoolers have SO much development to do before they can write the way school-aged children or adults can!

Please do NOT stress if your preschooler does not want to write or draw. Some love it and some don't.

While they are growing, strengthen those little bones and muscles! Here are some great pre-writing, muscle-strengthening activities:

* painting, drawing, coloring
* playdough
* tearing and cutting
* gluing
* poking holes in things (try toothpicks and paper!)
* digging in dirt
* building with LEGOS, marble runs, or other blocks
* beading (try beads, cut straws, or even bobbins!)
* puzzles
* squeezing (try stress balls, squeezing water in a sponge, or using a pipette)
* picking up and throwing balls (use different sizes!)
* playing with toys (watch what their little fingers do when they pick up and move little cars, marbles, action figures, etc!)
These all strengthen and help develop little hands, muscles, and bones. When they are physically ready to write, it will be so much easier than if they were pushed when they didn't want to and weren't ready!
