Suffering from a concussion? We are here to help!

Our physical therapist, Dana, just finished a specialized concussion education program through and is ready to help anyone with a new or old concussion get back to their best.

Concussions can have a variety of symptoms including: headache, dizziness, fogginess, trouble with memory, visual disturbances, and much more.
Treatment will include a thorough history and physical exam (of the musculoskeletal system, nervous system, visual system, and vestibular system); and then treating any system with deficits as needed. This can include: manual therapy, needling, physical activity, eye exercises, balance exercises, ear exercises, plenty of education, and much more!

With team sports starting up again, we will also do baseline testing for any athletes or teams wanting to get tested prior to engaging in contact sports.

Call us at the clinic for more information and to book your session!

Did you know that you can burn 3-6 times more calories in a minute of squatting compared with a minute of cardio on the treadmill?

Squats also help you build muscle, which allows you to burn more calories at rest.

So here’s to more squats in 2021!

As of May 14, 2020 we are now open to the general public for physiotherapy services. We are adhering to strict guidelines set forth by the Alberta Government and our Physiotherapy Association & College:
1) All patients and staff are to wear a mask while in the clinic
2) All surfaces and equipment will be disinfected and cleaned with a hospital grade disinfectant effective against coronavirus between each patient
3) Physiotherapists will only be treating one patient at a time to prevent any cross contamination
4) Patients will have social distancing from other patients, with no one in our waiting room, and no more than 15 people in the clinic at one time
5) No patients are to enter if they are exhibiting or have had any flu-like symptoms in the past 14 days, have travelled in the past 14 days, or have come into contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days

With these strict measures in place, we hope that everyone will feel safe to enter and be treated in our clinic. We will still be offering Telehealth sessions to those who prefer to get treatment and advice from the comforts of their own home. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns and we look forwards to being of service to you all again soon ❤️

Hi Grange physio fam! Starting this week we are going to be offering virtual rehab! 😁

Given the current situation we know that most people are staying home, but that doesn’t mean you need to get behind on your rehab! 💪🏽

Here are some great benefits of virtual rehab (a.k.a telerehabilitation/telerehab)

• access to your physiotherapist from ANYWHERE
• get a thorough assessment and treatment NOW; you don’t have to wait until social distancing is over. Let’s work towards your rehab goals right now!
• your therapist will give you complete 1-on-1 attention and advice for the duration of the treatment
• education and specific exercise prescription to help with both physical and mental health
• many insurance companies are covering telerehab, including: WCB claims, some private insurance companies such as Sun Life and Blue Cross, and some motor vehicle insurers such as Aviva

We are looking forwards to catching up with our patients and helping them through this difficult time.
