This week we received a condolence cared from your office for remembrance of our beloved Fibi. We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for such a thoughtful act and for each of you taking the time to write a personal message. The kindness you show and the work you do is beyond words. Knowing that even at the very end she had the best of care to her journey over the rainbow bridge was more than we could have asked for. May you all be blessed in life. πŸ’ž
Button would like to thank you for trimming his nails today, and caring about his health since he was a kitten 😽

We hope everyone is keeping warm during this cold spell!

As we continue to endure this severe cold weather, please keep in mind these basic tips to help protect your pets:

1. Fit your dog with proper pet boots and a jacket.
2. Bring your outdoor pet inside to protect them from inclement weather.
3. Limit your walks (keep walks under 15 minutes, especially with short hair breeds).
4. Don't leave your pet in the car.
5. Keep your pet on leash while walking so that they cannot wander off.
6. Keep your pet off ice surfaces. Some ponds have thin ice and represent a major source of danger.
7. Check for frostbite (discolored skin, especially of the tail, ears, or feet) regularly while walking.
8. Inspect your furnaces and heaters to ensure they are functioning properly.

Please contact the clinic at 780-456-3616 if you have questions or believe your pet is experiencing signs of exposure.

Pepper Loves Treats!

Pets love treats, and you love your pet! While you might want to give a treat whenever your pet begs for one, consider the 10 percent rule first.

The 10 percent rule is simple...treats should not make up more than 10% of your pet's daily caloric intake. For example, if your pet requires 300 calories per day, they should have no more than 30 calories from treats with the other 270 coming from their regular diet.

If you need guidance on determining your pet's caloric intake, please call us at 780-456-3616 and we'll be happy to help you!

10/27/2020

We will be closed from 12 to 1pm today for a staff training session. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Here is a cute little puppy named Luffy to look at in the meantime!

10/26/2020

Halloween Safety: Costumes can be fun for everyone, but please never leave a costumed pet unattended, as there is always a risk of the pet becoming entangled.

10/23/2020

Happy Friday!
