Why You Eat When You're Not Hungry?
If you're caught in the cycle of emotional eating, you know that the urge isn't about physical hunger; it's driven by intense emotional triggers.

When your brain signals:
Stress Binging: Can't Wait for It, the Shame Hangover
It's not a lack of willpower; it’s your brain's reward system trying to cope with emotional pain.

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led team specializes in understanding and regulating these patterns. We offer advanced MeRT therapy, designed to help your brain find stability and calm so you can break the cycle of seeking food for emotional relief.

Take the step to truly heal the trigger, not just manage the hunger. 💙

It’s not just a headache; it’s far more than that.

Concussions can impact your vision, balance, heart rate, hormones, and even how your body manages energy and focus.
These signs aren’t random; they’re your brain’s way of signalling that something deeper needs care.

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led team looks beyond the surface with our MeRT program, mapping how your brain communicates with the rest of your body.

When your brain doesn’t feel safe, even rest can feel like a battle.
PTSD is more than flashbacks or fear.
It’s the constant alertness, the exhaustion that never quite lifts, the moments of disconnection that are hard to explain.

When your brain stays in survival mode, even small things can feel heavy, not because you’re weak, but because your nervous system is still trying to protect you.

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led team uses MeRT therapy to gently help your brain shift out of that survival state.
It’s a non-invasive, personalized approach that supports calm, clarity, and emotional balance, helping you finally feel safe within yourself.

🧠 Healing begins when your brain feels at peace.

Ever find yourself eating when you’re not really hungry? 🤔
You’re not the only one, and it’s more common than you think.

Sometimes, food becomes a way to soothe stress, boredom, or emotions we can’t quite name.
But when this turns into a pattern, it can feel like being stuck in a loop you can’t break. 💭

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led team helps you address it where it truly begins in the brain.
MeRT therapy gently restores balance in your brain’s reward and motivation systems, helping you feel calm, clear, and in control again.

🧠Your brain can be your biggest ally, not your biggest challenge.
💙 Compassionate, expert, psychiatrist-led care.

May we never forget

This Remembrance Day, we honour and remember all veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country.

Cpl. Dennis Mickelberry served with 1 Service Battalion Calgary from 1970 to 1977, including six months in Egypt on a peacekeeping deployment with Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. Now 78, he lives at Calgary’s Carewest Colonel Belcher Centre, where he shares stories of service and remembrance with visiting students.

“When kids remember and say ‘Thank you,’ it makes me feel good,” says Mickelberry. “They care, and that’s a good sign.”

If you’ve ever done everything “right”, eating healthy, staying active, managing portions, but still found the weight returning, it’s not a lack of discipline.
It’s how your brain and metabolism respond to stress, hormones, and mood changes.

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led program looks deeper than calories, combining diagnostic testing, medical guidance, and brain-based strategies to help bring both mind and metabolism back into balance.

💡 Your mind matters in weight management.

Tinnitus can feel louder when the brain’s focus and stress levels are off balance, especially for people with OCD or high anxiety.

That’s because stress and repetitive thought patterns can make your brain “tune in” to sounds it normally filters out.

At Neuromed Clinic, our psychiatrist-led team offers evidence-based care for OCD, anxiety, and tinnitus, and in some cases may recommend MeRT therapy, a non-invasive, personalized approach being studied for its potential to support brain communication.

💡 You’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone.

rTMS Treatments for Depression and Anxiety

Who is Neuromed Clinic?

Having received specialist training at both Harvard University and Duke University, in addition to manufacture training on our chosen device (MagVenture MagProTM), Neuromed Clinic was established as Edmonton’s (Alberta, Canada) first TMS service in 2017.

What is TMS?

(r)TMS is (repetitive) Trans-cranial Magnetic Stimulation. It's mostly used for treatment-resistant depression and anxiety, however there are many other conditions which TMS could also help. TMS is also non-invasive, pain free and side-effect free.
