EmployAbilities

EmployAbilities Promoting and enhancing employment and/or learning opportunities for persons with disabilities. Please note that EmployAbilities is not a recruitment agency.

EmployAbilities is a community-based charitable non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. Active in Edmonton, Alberta since 1974, EmpoyAbilities serves people with disabilities and/or barriers to employment living in the Capital region and northern Alberta with a variety of programs and services. We also assist employers in finding staff that are ready, willing, and able to work - accessing an untapped market to fill their staffing needs. At EmployAbilities, we believe that community and economy are fundamentally intertwined, and that inclusive employment is the best way to build a stronger society and more profitable businesses. We measure success by assisting our clients in finding long-term meaningful employment, and work alongside allied organizations, government partners, and donors to raise awareness of the contributions people with people disabilities make to workplaces. We provide support for people with disabilities and barriers to employment. We provide resources that make them more employable, and help them find a job.

EmployAbilities is committed to continually listening, learning, unlearning and reflecting on the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools. We hope to join and start conversations that allow our communities to walk down the path of understanding and reconciliation.

EmployAbilities offices and programs are closed as we take time to commemorate the day.
