Hey babe. 👋 You probably don’t have a low milk supply.
You’re likely comparing yourself to moms on social media pouring those giant bottles… But that’s not a realistic measure of supply.
Did you know the average amount pumped after a feed is about 0.5–2 oz, and in place of a feed is about 2–5 oz total?
That’s completely normal.
If your baby has plenty of wet and dirty diapers, is gaining weight, and seems content after feeds, your supply is probably doing just fine.
But if you’re worried, or notice a change in diapers or weight, don’t hesitate to reach out to a lactation professional or your MD.
