Dr. Dianne Kipnes is a practicing psychologist and a former social worker. She is also currently involved in the charitable sector. Dr. Kipnes sits on the Alberta Cancer Foundation Board, the National Arts Centre Board and the Telus Community Foundation board and is, as well, co-chair of the Dianne and Irving Kipnes Foundation. Past positions include being chair of the Capital Care Foundation Board and the Edmonton Opera. She and her husband Irving have, for the past 16 years, hosted the Valentine’s Gala with proceeds to the Capital Care Foundation and the Edmonton Opera – marrying two of their great interests – health care and the arts. She most recently served as co-chair of the Mayor’s Arts Visioning committee. Dr. Kipnes is also a founding member of the Lymphatic Research Initiative and a partner in Salutaris Centre.
