😱 epic find in downtown Victoria 😳 such a great talent!

06/01/2026

Oh my goodness… donuts 🍩

What a beautiful way to begin the day here in Victoria.

Sometimes joy is found in the simplest, sweetest moments…
the first bite, the morning laughter, the pause to truly savor what is right in front of you.

This is what choosing joy looks like.
Not always the grand, life-changing moments…
but the tiny delicious reminders that life is meant to be enjoyed.

Today started with gratitude, sweetness, and a whole lot of joy.

And honestly… what better way to welcome the day than with donuts and delight? ✨

Choose joy. Savor the moment. Celebrate the sweetness. 🍩☀️💛

Healing is not about fixing yourself.

It is about learning how to care for the parts of you that learned to survive through pain.

For so many years, I thought healing meant becoming someone different.

Stronger. Better. Less emotional. Less affected.

What I’ve come to understand through my own journey — and through the work of Exponential Joy — is that healing is actually about returning to yourself with compassion.

It is about nurturing the parts of you that learned to protect, perform, people-please, overwork, disconnect, or stay small simply to survive.

Those parts are not flaws.

They are evidence of resilience.

This week on The Pathway To Choose Joy Method podcast, I’m sharing a deeply heartfelt conversation:

Nurturing the Parts That Hurt

We explore how true healing begins when we stop judging ourselves and start creating enough safety within to lovingly reconnect with the wounded places asking for our attention.

This is the heart of Exponential Joy.

Not bypassing pain.

Not pretending everything is okay.

But learning to meet yourself with tenderness, grace, and courage so healing can unfold naturally.

Joy expands when compassion leads.

The moment we nurture what hurts, we create the space for transformation.

That is how healing becomes exponential.

I would love for you to listen, reflect, and share what resonates.

Together, we rise.
Together, we heal.
Together, we choose joy.

 Nancy

Lately, I’ve been sitting with this truth:

**What we become aware of, we can choose.**

Life moves fast.

We stay busy.
We keep producing.
We keep showing up.

And somewhere in all that movement, it becomes so easy to disconnect from ourselves.

We stop noticing what we’re carrying.

We stop recognizing the patterns we’re repeating.

We stop listening to the quiet parts of ourselves asking for care.

This is why healing begins with awareness.

It begins with the courageous pause.

The moment we become honest enough to ask:

 What am I feeling?
What is surfacing for me right now?
What is asking for my attention?
What am I finally ready to see clearly?

Because what we do not identify, we cannot change.

And the moment awareness arrives, choice becomes possible.

Then comes the next beautiful question:

How will I respond?

Will I meet myself with judgment?

Or with compassion?

Will I criticize what I discover?

Or will I lovingly nurture what is asking to heal?

I’m learning that healing doesn’t begin with fixing ourselves.

It begins with noticing.

With becoming aware.

With choosing to pause long enough to truly listen.

Because what we become aware of, we can choose.

And what we choose with love, we can transform.

What have you become aware of lately that is asking for your attention?

Choosing Joy Requires Courage and Release

05/26/2026

# # **Exponential Joy Post**

What is the real cost of staying too long?

Sometimes it looks like exhaustion.
Sometimes it feels like heaviness.
Sometimes it sounds like the quiet whisper within that says:

**This no longer fits.**

Too often we remain in spaces, roles, and patterns we have already outgrown because leaving feels uncertain.

But staying where your spirit is no longer aligned comes with a cost.

In this week’s episode of **The Pathway to Choose Joy**, Nancy Nance explores **The Cost of Staying Too Long** through **The Pathway To Choose Joy Method — Identify • Nurture • Restore • Reconnect.**

This conversation will help you:

Identify what is no longer serving you
Nurture the parts of yourself afraid to let go
 Restore your inner trust
Reconnect with the truth of who you are

What we become aware of, we can choose.

And sometimes choosing joy begins with release.

Your healing is not found in enduring what diminishes you.

Your healing is found in honoring what your soul already knows.

What if the life you’re longing for begins with one honest question:

**What is breaking me?**

So often we keep pushing forward.

We stay busy.
We stay productive.
We keep showing up for everyone else.

And somewhere in that constant motion, we disconnect from ourselves.

The first step toward transformation is not fixing.

It is identifying.

In the newest **Exponential Joy** podcast episode,
**Identify: What’s Breaking You**, we explore the first pillar of **The Pathway to Choose Joy.**

Because you cannot transform what you refuse to acknowledge.

When we pause long enough to identify what is depleting us, disconnecting us, or quietly breaking us, we create the awareness needed for healing, restoration, and reconnection.

Awareness is where exponential change begins.

This is your invitation to pause.
To reflect.
To tell yourself the truth.

Because the moment you identify what is breaking you is the moment your healing begins.

Listen now and begin your pathway back to yourself.

 NEW ON EXPONENTIAL JOY

Trigger • Activate • Ignite — The Moment You Stop Waiting for Permission

How much of your life have you spent waiting for permission?

Permission to speak.
Permission to heal.
Permission to rest.
Permission to grow.
Permission to take up space.
Permission to finally become yourself.

So many people were conditioned to perform for acceptance:
 Be good
 Be agreeable
 Be productive
 Be strong
 Don’t be too emotional
 Don’t disappoint people

And somewhere along the way, many disconnected from their own inner knowing trying to become who everyone else expected them to be.

In this powerful Trigger • Activate • Ignite episode, Nancy Nance explores:
 Self-worth and authenticity
 People pleasing and performance conditioning
The nervous system and fear of visibility
Why healing can feel unsafe at first
 Boundaries, truth, and self-trust
The exhaustion of abandoning yourself for belonging
What happens when you finally choose yourself

Sometimes life triggers awakening through burnout, heartbreak, grief, disappointment, exhaustion, or the realization that the old version of you simply cannot continue surviving the same way anymore.

And eventually…

something inside says:
“No more.”

Maybe freedom begins the moment you stop waiting for someone else to choose you…
…and finally choose yourself.

NEW HEAL • RISE • JOY EPISODE

The Identity Crisis Nobody Talks About
Self-Sabotage • Survival • Becoming

Healing changes identity.

Growth changes identity.
Recovery changes identity.
Grief changes identity.
Success changes identity.

And sometimes becoming a new version of yourself feels deeply uncomfortable.

In this powerful Heal • Rise • Joy conversation, Nancy Nance explores the quiet identity crisis many people experience while healing — and why self-sabotage often has far more to do with nervous system survival than weakness or failure.

 Why people recreate familiar chaos
 Survival identities and emotional exhaustion
 Self-sabotage and nervous system conditioning
Overworking, people pleasing, and “being the strong one”
 Emotional flooding and overwhelm
Why growth can feel like grief
Learning how to exist beyond survival mode
Becoming without attacking yourself in the process

So many people want peace…
…but feel uncomfortable in stillness.

They want healing…
…but fear who they may become without survival patterns.

Not because they are broken.

Because the nervous system often chooses familiarity over expansion.

And maybe the most important thing to understand is this:

 You are not failing.
 You are becoming.

 Heal. Rise. Reconnect. Choose Joy.
