New HANDS for ROMEO

New HANDS for ROMEO This page is for my brother who hand both of his hands amputated and needs prosthetics. gofund.me/n He was lost for over 6 hours in -50 degree weather.

My name is Christina, this campaign is for my older brother Romeo. My brother is lucky to be alive. 2 months ago he was lost in a whiteout in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, Canada. He could not see anything in front of him and fell into a ravine and hit his head and became disoriented. RCMP could not go look for him as it was not 24 hours of being missing. A search party of family and friends was about

to go out and look for him, he miraculously came stumbling up the road. He was rushed to hospital with severe frostbite to 95 % of both his hands. Unfortunately, they will need to ampuate both of his hands at the wrist. This so completely life changing for us all. He is scared and heartbroken. He will be airvaced to a hospital in Edmonton. We are looking to raise money for medical expenses, and for prosthetics. Anything helps. We thank each and everyone of you for all your love and support through this difficult time.

Hello Christina,

I am contacting you from The War Amps National Headquarters. I am sending this email to let you know about the impending “match” we have set up for Romeo. The purpose of this match is to introduce Romeo to another amputee with similar amputation levels, and give them an opportunity to spend time together and connect.

We spoke with Romeo yesterday to let him know the details, including the date and time, and he mentioned that it would be helpful if we sent these details to you as well.

We have been in touch with one of our members from Calgary, Kyle, who has agreed to fly to Ottawa to meet with your brother. This will give them the opportunity to meet and discuss any questions and concerns Romeo might have. We have arranged for Kyle to fly into Ottawa, and the match would take place on Wednesday November 2nd in the afternoon.

We encouraged Romeo to think of a place for them to meet, or think of a restaurant for them to go to in the meantime.

Kyle is very much looking forward to meeting with Romeo. We will be exchanging their contact information so they can connect in the coming days, prior to Kyle’s arrival.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. If possible, could you please confirm the receipt of this email?

Thank you,

Cindy
