Today is world cancer day. I don’t usually use this platform to share much about my personal life, but cancer unfortunately plays a huge part in my drive to create natural, healthy products. 4 years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Before that day I was already on my journey to find more natural products. I used apps and websites that rated products based on the quality and toxicity of each ingredient. It was terrifying how many products on the shelves of drugstores contained ingredients that were known carcinogens. The common ingredient in many products is fragrance. According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG),“The word “fragrance” or “parfum” on the product label represents an undisclosed mixture of various scent chemicals and ingredients used as fragrance dispersants such as diethyl phthalate. Fragrance mixes have been associated with allergies, dermatitis, respiratory distress and potential effects on the reproductive system.”

I don’t know about you, but I avoid products with synthetic fragrance at all costs.
All of Cabin Fever Essentials’ products contain essential oils for their aromatherapy benefits and scents. I feel safer knowing I am using products on my skin and in my home that are less toxic for me and my family.
