If you own an older can am quad or side by side any brand really , I’d advise you to sell it while it still moves, I’m dealing with a 2012 commander 1000 with only a worn out clutch it has 9000kms on it and is maintained really good and is in great shape and from 2 dealerships and BRP head office they do not have replacement clutches they are in house rebuild piece by piece only to the little total of over $4000 yes thats not a typo,they even were nice enough to advise me to tell my customer that he should think of buying a new side by side, if you have that itch to get the coolest sxs out there remeber this when you want to fix it in the future, I have another 2015 Polaris 900 with a blown engine only 3k kms I almost s**t when they told me $10800 before tax for a new one, even a rebuild one when they have them from 3 different sources are around the $7000 mark, so sell them used units before they wear out and really really think before you buy used quads or side by sides, they got you right where they want you, if you think the automotive world is crazy look into powersports parts, availability and price, even the oils and regular maintenance supplies is outrageous. Buy a jeep or a tracker.
