Eston Caring Hands Committee was formed in 2007 to purchase extra items that would provide an aesthetically appealing, comfortable, and pleasant atmosphere for the residents at the Long-Term Care Facility in Eston. THE COMMITTEE RAISES FUNDS THROUGH:
- Town-wide garage sale
- Bake sale
- BBQ
- Donations through memorials

PAST FUNDRAISERS:
- Jail and Bail
- Raffles
- Co-op BBQs

FUTURE PROJECTS:

- Back patio
- Fix sunroom patio
- Flower beds and curb appeal
- Outdoor chairs for patio area

THINGS WE HAVE PURCHASED OVER THE YEARS
- Roof on the back deck was replaced
- TVs for the sunroom, lounge, 4 bedrooms, and rooms 38 and 39
- Furniture in palliative room 38, sunroom, and patio
- Sunroom, lounge, and dining room, and hallways were painted
- Fireplace in lounge changed from wood burning to gas
- Stove, table, and chairs for kitchenette
- Wainscoting was put in the dining room
- Blinds and rods for windows in the lounge, mini lounge, kitchen, dining room, sunroom, and bedrooms including closets
- Furniture for the patio and other outdoor decorations
- 2 bookcases and 4 wall units
- Dishes for the dining room
- The big sign out front
- Bird feeder and bird bath
- 4 recliners
- About 10 comforters, 4 palliative pillows, and a weighted blanket
- About 12 self-watering plants
- Artworks hanging on the walls and in sunroom
- 6 air topper mattresses and 1 full air mattress
- 2-3 CD players and 3 DVD players
- Oxygen concentrator
- 2 Christmas trees plus decorations
- All the 3-drawer plastic cabinets that are in every room
- Activities, games, and crafts for the residents
- Wii system with games in the sunroom
- Towel warmer in each tub room
- Money for plants every year
- Money towards the gazebo and heater
- Sound system, Blu-ray player, and PVR cable box for the TV in the lounge

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support today’s town-wide garage sale and summer BBQ! It was a great day (despite the winds) filled with good food, friendly faces, and true community spirit.

We want to give a special shoutout to all the volunteers and the staff of the Eston facility who helped make this event happen—not just this year, but last year too. Your time and energy make all the difference.

And to everyone who donated to the BBQ, thank you so much. Whether it was this year or last, your generosity has helped raise funds that go right back into making our events possible. Your donations make a bigger impact to the residents of the Jubilee Lodge than you might realize!

A huge thank you!

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who generously donated towards the purchase of a new Broda chair — Dollie Grimes' family, Alison and Kevin Mathers, and the Eston Lions Club. Your kindness and support have made a meaningful difference to the residents and we are truly thankful for each and every contribution.

This chair will provide much-needed comfort and care, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your help. Your generosity is a reminder of the power of community and compassion.
