🤱 NIAGARA PARENTS: THE PREPARATION YOU NEED FOR THE BIRTH YOU WANT.

You’ve likely heard a lot of birth stories, but we want to help you feel ready to lead your own.

We are Emily & Brittany of Mothertide Doulas. As doulas and moms, we know that birth isn’t just a day you “get through”; it’s a transformative experience. We created Into Birth to give you the quiet confidence that comes from being truly prepared, heart and mind.

Our 5-Week Series is designed to be your “village” before the baby arrives. We’ve brought together Niagara’s top experts to ensure you have every tool you need for a positive, informed experience.

What we’ll explore together:

✨ Wk 1: The Foundation - Understanding birth physiology and the final weeks of pregnancy, paired with prenatal yoga led by Andrea France of Mama Bear Wellness

✨ Wk 2: The Pelvic Floor- A deep dive into pelvic health, labor positions, breathing techniques, and pushing tools to work with your body, not against it. Guest Expert: Carmen Schmidt, DPT, Owner of Calm Health Physiotherapy

✨ Wk 3: Partner Night & Mental Health - A hands-on night for partners to master comfort measures, advocacy, and tools. Mental Health and Couples Therapy tools to help you through the transition from Nicole Rethy, BA, MSW, RSW, Owner of Couples and Family Therapy

✨ Wk 4: The Golden Hour - Navigating the first moments and hours with baby and receiving expert lactation/feeding support from Ashley Brown, Infant Feeding Specialist and IBCLC, Owner of Boobie Busters

✨ Wk 5: The Transition - Practical postpartum planning, setting boundaries, life with a newborn, what products are actually useful, time for final questions and discussion, and guided reflection with Samantha Eldridge, owner of Reverie Roots Wellness

From our comprehensive classes, to our hands on Doula Support, to our free weekly Mom Walks throughout Niagara, we are here to ensure you never have to navigate this journey alone.

If you’ve ever thought we have this motherhood thing figured out…we don’t.

This week was a mix of chaos, survival-mode dinners, and “let’s go outside” turning into “we still have stuff to get done.”

Not aesthetic. Not perfect. But it’s real life, and we’re in the thick of it. Here’s what our week actually looked like.

If your mornings feel like a marathon before you’ve even had a coffee; we get you and we’ve got coffee.

We’re meeting at Crimson & Clover (home of and ) this Wednesday at 10:00 AM. We usually hang around for at least 30 minutes before we actually start walking, so there’s plenty of time to grab a bagel, feed the baby, or just catch your breath.

No expectations, no pressure to be “on”; just a walk through the neighbourhood, down a paved trail and back.
• The Details: Wednesday, May 6th @ 10 AM.
• Location: 5219 Victoria Ave (Niagara Falls).
• Pets: Your dogs are welcome to join us (leashed, please!).
• Hosts: .doulas in collaboration with

Pregnant? You’re more than welcome to join the crew and get a head start on your village. But if you’re looking for more of the “how-to” side of things, our next Into Birth prenatal series starts May 13th. It’s 5 weeks of actual, comprehensive education so you don’t have to rely on Google for your birth plan. Check out the link in our bio! .doulas

36 weeks is that in-between stage where you’re like… “I should probably pack a bag” but also “I have time… right?” 🙃

Here’s the thing, it’s not that you don’t have time but, it’s better to be prepared right?

This is the “what you’ll actually reach for when you’re tired, overstimulated, and just had a baby” version. The things we see used over and over again, and the things people wish they had. Nothing aesthetic. Nothing extra. Just real-life.

Save this for when you finally get the urge to throw things in a bag at 9pm one night 🤍

You don’t see the full week. Just the parts we had the capacity to capture. The rest? The reschedules. The overstimulation. The “why is everyone crying” moments. The mental load that doesn’t photograph well.

And also the tiny resets, the deep breaths, the “okay we’re fine” minutes that carry you through. The “perfect mom” thing might be trending again…but this is what we’re showing instead.

A real week. As doulas. As moms. As humans in it. If yours felt heavy or chaotic too, you’re not doing it wrong. You’re just in it.

Birth prep is more than just breathing techniques; it’s about knowing your body, your rights, and preparing for everything that follows.

We are two experienced doulas and moms who have been there, and we’ve designed this 5-week series in Welland to be the guide we wish we’d had. We’re leading the way, but we’ve also brought in our “dream team” of experts to make this the most comprehensive prep in Niagara.

Here is what makes this series different:
• The Foundations: 5 weeks of birth physiology, labor positions, and partner advocacy led by us (your doulas!).
• The Expert Access: Direct sessions with a Pelvic Physio, Lactation Consultant, and a Couples Therapist.
• The “Plus-Plus” Extras: We’ve included a session of Prenatal Yoga to help you connect with your body, and we wrap up the series with a Guided Reflection session led by a Wellness Expert to get your mindset ready for the transition.

We don’t want you to “Google” your way through labour and newborn life. We want you to feel steady, supported, and truly ready.
✨ Starts May 13th @ 6 PM | Welland
✨ The most comprehensive birth prep in the region.

Spaces are limited to keep the group intimate. Grab your spot at the link in our bio!
