Loving this energy today 🥰
Why You NEED to Celebrate Yourself More
Here’s something I was talking about with a friend the other day…
When we fail, it hits hard.
It’s loud.
It’s messy.
People notice.
Our nervous system notices.
And it becomes an elevated emotional memory we replay over and over again.
But the wild part?
We succeed at SO many things every single day, and because there’s no finish line… no moment… no celebration…
Those moments don’t get stored in our body the same way.
We raise the bar.
We move on.
We barely even acknowledge ourselves.
So our system becomes wired to remember the heavy things…
while completely overlooking the things we’re actually proud of.
But here’s the truth:
If memories are formed through elevated emotions, then we need to start creating elevated emotions around our WINS — big, small, and everything in between.
Celebration isn’t selfish.
It’s not egotistical.
It’s not “too much.”
It’s necessary.
✨ Celebrate being a present parent today with a solo dance party.
✨ Take yourself out for dinner because you made progress on a project.
✨ Buy yourself a little gift because you worked your ass off today.
✨ Call a friend and say, “Come with me to Starbucks, girl, I just decluttered my closet and I’m PROUD of myself.”
Make celebration normal. Make honouring yourself normal.
Make being proud of who you are and how you show up in the world normal.
Because when we intentionally create emotional memories tied to our accomplishments, we give ourselves something powerful to look back on — something that fuels us, motivates us, and reminds us who the hell we are.
You deserve to feel good about yourself.
You deserve to be celebrated.
And you deserve to be the one who celebrates you the loudest.
Joy is a strategy.
Celebration is medicine.
And YOU are worth the moment. 💛✨
