I talk a lot about these exact points when I coach parents in supporting their athletes.
The New Generational Wealth…
Is growing up in a home where people apologize and repair after conflict. It's getting a call from a parent and wanting to pick up.
The new wealth is witnessing respect between your parents, even if they're no longer together. It's having a family that doesn’t rescue you from your own actions. It’s not being pressured to fulfill your family’s desires but instead being allowed to follow your own path.
Wealth is growing up in a home where siblings don't have to compete for love and can support each other. It's not having to witness your parents betray each other. Wealth is growing up in a home where movement is a normal part of the day.
The new generational wealth is knowing that love doesn't leave when things get hard. It's the quiet understanding that your worth isn't tied to productivity, perfection, or performance. It's growing up knowing that softness and strength can coexist, and that the foundation of a home isn't built on silence and submission, but on honesty, repair, and respect.
Wealth is being given the freedom to explore who you are without the weight of what others expect you to be.
