Mars est le Mois de la francophonie, un moment pour célébrer la langue française, ses cultures et les communautés qui la font vivre partout dans le monde.

Nous sommes particulièrement fiers d’être enracinés au Nouveau-Brunswick, la seule province officiellement bilingue du Canada, où le français et l’anglais évoluent et s’épanouissent côte à côte au quotidien. Cette réalité bilingue façonne notre travail et nourrit notre engagement à soutenir la voix de chaque enfant, dans les deux langues.

Tout au long du mois, nous célébrons notre héritage francophone ainsi que la richesse, la diversité et les liens qui unissent la francophonie mondiale. Nous honorons les langues, les histoires et les cultures qui nous rassemblent, et les voix qui continuent d’y grandir.

Dans le dernier épisode du balado Le Cancre Pédagogue, qui explore le travail d’Alloprof sur la persévérance scolaire, nous avons eu la chance d’être mentionnés ! Merci à Fred Jean de nous avoir fait découvrir à Pascal Bonaldo, porte-parole et chef des services et de la production pédagogique chez Alloprof !

Notre mention souligne l’importance de repérer les besoins des enfants présentant un trouble développemental du langage (TDL), une condition qui touche près d’un enfant sur 14, et de leur offrir le soutien nécessaire pour progresser à l’école et dans la vie.

Anne Laurie, PhD had the honour of moderating the Stories That Speak: Why Books & Representation Matter panel at the DLD Global Summit. It felt like something bigger than a panel.

The conversation was thoughtful, honest, and rooted in heart. We spoke about why we write, who we write for, and what it means when a child finally says, “That’s me.”

Bringing together authors who write for and about children with DLD reminded us why we do this work with our children's books series TRICOAST Adventures. Behind every book is a child who deserves to feel seen. Behind every story is a family looking for understanding.

Representation is not optional. It shapes identity. It builds confidence. It reduces stigma. It reminds children that their voice, in all its uniqueness, belongs.

We look forward to families, educators, clinicians, and allies around the world watching this important discussion.

Anne Laurie, PhD a eu l’honneur d’animer le panel Stories That Speak: Why Books & Representation Matter lors du DLD Global Summit. C’était bien plus qu’un simple panel.

La conversation était réfléchie, authentique et profondément humaine. Nous avons parlé de pourquoi nous écrivons, pour qui nous écrivons, et de ce que cela signifie lorsqu’un enfant dit enfin : « C’est moi. »

Réunir des autrices qui écrivent pour et à propos des enfants ayant un trouble développemental du langage (TDL) nous a rappelé pourquoi nous faisons ce travail avec notre série Les Aventures TRICOAST. Derrière chaque livre, il y a un enfant qui mérite de se sentir vu. Derrière chaque histoire, il y a une famille en quête de compréhension.

La représentation n’est pas facultative. Elle façonne l’identité. Elle renforce la confiance. Elle réduit la stigmatisation. Elle rappelle aux enfants que leur voix, dans toute son unicité, a sa place.

Nous avons hâte que des familles, des éducateurs, des cliniciens, ainsi que des alliés du monde entier puissent regarder cette discussion importante.

We were proud to sponsor this month’s Spanish–English Language Exchange.

It was a wonderful evening of connection, conversation, and community. We brought a few of our books for prize draws and had the opportunity to share more about TRICOAST Education and our work in assessment, books, and raising awareness.

What stood out most was that for many attendees, this was their first time hearing about Developmental Language Disorder (DLD). The level of interest and curiosity was encouraging. Raising awareness of a condition that affects 7.5% of the population yet remains largely unknown is an important part of our mission.

TRICOAST Éducation était fière de commanditer l’échange linguistique espagnol-anglais de ce mois-ci à Fusion East.

Ce fut une très belle soirée d’échanges, de rencontres et de conversations autour des langues. Nous avons apporté quelques-uns de nos livres pour des tirages de prix et avons eu l’occasion de présenter davantage le travail de TRICOAST Éducation en développement du langage, livres d'enfants et en évaluations.

Ce qui a particulièrement marqué la soirée, c’est que, pour plusieurs personnes présentes, c’était la première fois qu’elles entendaient parler du trouble développemental du langage (TDL). L’intérêt et les questions ont été nombreux. Sensibiliser à une condition qui touche environ 7,5 % de la population, mais demeure encore méconnue, fait partie intégrante de notre mission.
