Couples Yoga is now available 9:00 am Saturday mornings at Skyward Active Health Centre in Mallorytown.
Through physical touch and synchronized breath with our partner throughout the class we will help build a stronger connection, trust and better communication. Couples yoga can increase intimacy and even start new conversations.
The poses are yin in nature, that is, slow, deep postures that are not rushed and have a variety of options for every body.
Mirroring, matching, or moving in synchronization with your partner is a form of mimicry. Doing this with your partner has been shown to not only help couples form a deeper bond but also to reach a new level of empathy and understanding of one another.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one.
Wear comfortable clothing.
Come with an open mind and just have fun with it.
