🌟 Embracing Self-Forgiveness 🌟

As a therapist for empathetic women, I've witnessed the profound impact of self-forgiveness in the healing process.

Whether you're navigating your past, healing from trauma, or simply evolving in life, self-forgiveness is the key to unlocking the door to your next chapter.

Why does self-forgiveness often feel like such a challenge!?!?!
To be honest, the answer lies in our tendency to be harsh critics of ourselves.

We forget that decisions, even those leading to what we perceive as negative outcomes, are steps on our unique learning journey. It's crucial to recognize that, at the time, we made choices based on the information available at the time!

Consider this: when grappling with the weight of past decisions, especially if they've caused pain to others, we tend to carry the burden of guilt. However, self-forgiveness transpires when we realize that, armed with the wisdom of today, we would make different choices in a similar situation.

This understanding allows us to embrace ourselves with a bit care and compassion.

I've personally navigated self-forgiveness, particularly after my first marriage. It took time, far longer than I expected, but every journey is unique. The key is to grant yourself permission to say, "It's okay to let go."

Acknowledge that you're now ready to embark on the liberating path of self-forgiveness.

Building awareness is the first step. Our thoughts often loop in cycles of self-criticism without our conscious awareness. By becoming aware of these thought patterns, we can interrupt the cycle and gently guide our minds towards self-compassion.

Next, ask yourself, "What's standing in my way of self-forgiveness?" This self-reflection allows you to identify the circumstantial, emotional, or relational barriers that might be blocking the path.
Identifying these obstacles empowers you to pave the way for self-forgiveness, clearing the path to healing.

Lastly, always remember - you only know what you know when you know it!

You made decisions based on the information and mindset at that moment. This realization allows you to soften, offering yourself the grace of self-compassion.

All this to say, know you are worthy of self-forgiveness. It's time to release the shackles of the past, embrace your growth, and take the next step towards a more compassionate and empowered you.

If you find yourself grappling with self-forgiveness, share your thoughts below. There's no shame or judgment here – only unwavering support for your growth.

As always, this is a safe space, a place to explore your own inner world.

In the past, I used to BEAT myself up for being emotional, thinking it made me weak. But through my growth journey and therapy, I've learned that my emotions are an essential part of who I am.

Supposed to Culture puts pressure on us empaths us to hide our emotions, making us feel ashamed for being sensitive or quick to anger.

But it's time to say NO to that narrative! Let's be vulnerable, embrace our emotions, and honor what they're trying to show us. πŸ™Œ

So, let's challenge the BS stoary Supposed to Culture feeds us and embrace our authentic selves.

Being vulnerable is a courageous act of radical self-acceptance. No matter where you are in your emotional journey, embrace yourself and your feelings, and remember that you deserve support and understanding.

It's okay to be emotional; it's okay to be YOU. Let's create a safe space for our emotions and allow ourselves to feel without judgment.

Remember, vulnerability is strength, and it's a beautiful way to connect with others on a deeper level. πŸ’ž

I'm here with you, going through my emotional ups and downs, especially with my wedding coming up next month. But instead of suppressing my emotions, I'm learning to listen to what they have to say and asking for what I need. 🌸

You're not alone in this journey. Be kind to yourself, and cultivate space for self-expression. Let's support each other and ditch Supposed to Culture that is always trying to silence us.

If this resonates with you, know that you're not alone. Sending you love and light on your emotional journey. Remember, it's okay to feel, and it's okay to be vulnerable. πŸŒˆπŸ’–

This video has me EXCITED!

And, once you hit play you will be able to feel my excitment, almost immeditaly.

I've been doing seriously deep reflection, and I can't wait to share this profound insight with you all. Let's talk about the incredible connection between therapy and spirituality!

You know, life can be one wild ride, with ups and downs that sometimes leave us feeling lost in the chaos.

That said, therapy is like a guiding light on our path to self-discovery and healing.

As we open up in therapy, exploring our thoughts and emotions, we start to peel back the layers of our soul. It's like unraveling the most intimate parts of ourselves, revealing the raw beauty within. πŸ’–

Therapy supports us heal from past wounds, releasing the weight we've been carrying on our shoulders. It's a sacred space where we can confront our fears, insecurities, and traumas, allowing us to make peace with our past and live fully in the present.

This journey of healing intertwines with spirituality in the most magical ways! The more we connect with our inner selves, the more we realize our profound connection with the universe.

Through therapy, we cultivate mindfulness and compassion, not only towards ourselves but also towards others.

If you're on this journey too, know that you're not alone. Together, we can uplift and support each other as we navigate the beautiful ebbs and flows of life. πŸ€—πŸ’•

Making the decision to tend to our own needs can be very tough.

Perhaps it's because we feel as though we waren't worthy of living a life that is aligned with our soul.

Maybe were scared that we might not be a successful as we imagined.

Could it be that you're worried about what others might think if you start Therapy?

Or is it that little voice in our heads that keeps telling us everything is "fine." Afterall, that is what Supposed to Culture prefers us empaths to say, just bury the truth and keep up appearances.

Either way, it might be the very thing that is keeping us empaths from reaching our potential and living a life that feels aligned.

If you're watching this it might mean that enough is enough and you're ready.

Thinking about working together but have some questions? Send me a quick message and we can chat.

No commitments, no pressure, just feeling it out.

Have you been thinking about starting Therapy lately?

Wondering if it's part of your path but having no idea what to expect?

Believe it or not, many people have similar experiences, they aren't sure what's going to happen or if they will know what to talk about.

On top of this, people often wonder if they are the right fit for therapy, almost minimizing all the reasons they wanted to go in the first place.

"Things aren't THAT bad, other people have it worse"

Sound familiar?

I can relate, I had all those same feelings before I got started.

It's common to be nervous and for all of those thoughts to swirl through your head.

Let's clear the air and soothe any of those fears you're having. The more information you have on hand, easier it will be to take the first baby step.

THERE.IS.NOTHING.WRONG.WITH.YOU!

There never has been anything wrong with you, not ever. You're not someone who is broken beyond repair.

As empaths, it's easy to fall into the self-blame spiral, feeling like all your decisions and everything you've ever done has been a direct result of there being something inherently wrong with you.

You might have even caught yourself saying "why do I keep doing these things, what is wrong with me?"

And, even if you're just saying words as opposed to really meaning them, your body and your soul doesn't know the difference.

You have never been the problem, think about that for a moment.

You are a collection of experiences, taking in the world around you like a sponge. You have been exposed to more opinions and conditioning than one person can take.

No wonder you're feeling exhausted and wondering how to get yourself out of the funk you might be in right now.

It's time to pivot, to begin the process of unlearning all of the conditioning that has told you who you "should be," who you're "supposed to be."

It's time to come home, to break down that foundation and rediscover who YOU are, outside of all the noise.

It is possible, it takes work but you can get there.

This is the work I'm doing with my clients, it's something I have done myself and it's something I am PASSIONATE about.

We do it all together, hand in hand, you're never alone.

If you're curious about working together, let's jump on a consultation call and chat about it.

Shoot me a message or drop a comment and I will reach out to you.

There is some serious power in taking baby steps.

Putting one foot in front of the other and not looking so far ahead.

I can feel you rolling your eyes right now, it's almost like I can hear the questions running though your mind.

"But Denise, if I am not where I want to be yet how can I possibly celebrate?!?"

And, I hear you friend, I used to be the EXACT same way, never willing to stop and appreciate all the steps I was taking.

Instead, I continuously beat myself up for NOT being at the end goal.

This is something a lot of us Empaths tend to have in common. Mostly because Supposed to Culture has conditioned us to believe that if we're not achieving we aren't successful.

And, you and I both know were done with adhering to Supposed Culture.
So, what do we do instead?

Celebrate it all, each and every step along the way.

It doesn't have to be perfect, there just has to be action.

Even the smallest steps are worth it.

Today this video might be your first step, maybe its the very thing that has you feeling inspired about what might happen next.

I want to encourage you to take those small steps. Share in the comments below one baby step you might take today towards one of your goals.
