This article is really worth a read. I keep talking about educating yourselves with respect to the wellbeing of your fur baby because for the most part, what they are eating is garbage. Taking the extra time to become aware of the marketing lies is important to the health of your loved one.

Reading a pet food label is very important, it can tell you a lot. If you know the right things to look for. Today I want to talk about the synthetic vitamins and minerals in pet food and shed some light on to why we stray away from them in the food brands we carry at Poochie Moochie Edmonton.

Have you ever felt strange vibrations or buzzing sensations in your chest—especially when you’re trying to fall asleep or just as you wake up? Maybe you’ve also noticed dizzy spells, lightheadedness, or a kind of anxiety that seems to come out of nowhere. If you have, I want you to know: you are not alone, and you are definitely not “going crazy.”

When I first experienced these symptoms, I was convinced something was seriously wrong with my heart or my nerves. I’d lie awake at night, feeling these odd sensations, and wonder if anyone else had ever felt this way. It turns out, these symptoms are surprisingly common during perimenopause and menopause, even though hardly anyone talks about them.

Here’s what I’ve learned:
As our estrogen levels fluctuate and decline, our nervous system can become more sensitive. This can lead to sensations like internal vibrations, tingling, or a buzzing feeling—sometimes called “paresthesia.” It’s unsettling, but it’s a real and recognized part of the menopausal transition for many women.

Dizziness and vestibular issues—like feeling off-balance or lightheaded—are also linked to hormonal changes. Estrogen helps regulate our inner ear and balance, so when it drops, we can feel all sorts of strange physical sensations. Add anxiety to the mix (which is also common at this stage), and it can feel like a perfect storm.

Emotionally, it’s a lot to carry. Not knowing what’s causing what, feeling like your body is betraying you, and worrying that you’re “losing it”—it’s exhausting. But please know: you are not alone in this. So many women are experiencing these symptoms, even if it feels like no one is talking about them.

If you’re struggling, consider tracking your symptoms and sharing them with a healthcare provider, just to rule out anything else. But most importantly, give yourself grace and compassion. These sensations are a normal, though rarely discussed, part of the menopausal journey.

We’re in this together. If you’re feeling these things, you’re not imagining it—and you’re certainly not alone. 💛

If you find yourself snapping at loved ones or crying at commercials, it’s not a character flaw. It’s your hormones shifting gears. Give yourself the grace you’d offer a friend. Mood swings are a normal part of this transition, not a reflection of your worth.

Much love,

Some days, menopause feels like carrying an invisible backpack full of bricks—sadness, irritability, and a heaviness I can’t always explain. If you wake up feeling low or just “off,” know you’re not alone. These mood shifts are part of the hormonal rollercoaster, and you’re not broken for feeling them🩵💜

Big love to you

There’s a death that happens quietly in midlife.
Not of the body—but of who we thought we were supposed to be.

The woman who kept it all together.
Who pushed through.
Who wore the mask, played the part, and did what was expected.

And then…
something shifts.

For some, it starts in perimenopause—subtle unease, a sense of “Is this all?”
For others, post-menopause brings it crashing in: the roles change, the hormones calm, and what’s left is… silence. Space. A kind of emotional shedding.

It can feel disorienting. Lonely. Even terrifying.

But what if this identity death is not a breakdown… but a sacred passage?

What if everything that’s falling away was never really you—just the version you built to survive, to belong, to be good?

And what’s rising now… is the truth.

Not always polished. Not always clear.
But deeply, wholly, unapologetically you.

✨ This isn’t the end. It’s the beginning of becoming.

The false self doesn’t go quietly.
But the wise woman?
She’s waiting just beyond the letting go.

You don’t have to walk this path alone.
You’re not too late.
You’re right on time.

In The Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You by Dorothy Bryant, the people live by their dreams—each one a message, a map, a guidepost.

It made me pause.
Because somewhere along the way, many of us stop trusting our own inner guidance.
We lose touch with the wisdom that once came so easily—through gut feelings, dreams, quiet knowing.

Especially after menopause, it’s common to feel unmoored.
The roles that once defined us shift. The noise gets louder.
And that gentle voice inside? It gets harder to hear.

But here’s the truth I’ve witnessed again and again:
Your inner compass never left. It’s just been waiting for stillness.

Dreams—whether at night or during waking moments—carry the threads back to your truest self.
Not always in obvious ways.
Sometimes in images, sensations, or symbols that linger.

What if instead of brushing them off, you started listening again?
Not just to dreams, but to the flashes of insight, the tiny nudges, the body’s whispers?

✨ This week, try this:
Before bed, place your hand over your heart and simply ask:
“Show me what I need to remember.”

Then trust that something inside you still knows the way.

You’re not lost.
You’re remembering.

Have you ever noticed how life’s biggest transformations often begin quietly? Like a whisper in the dark, perimenopause arrives, not as an ending, but as an invitation. And isn’t it curious how the mind begins to shift when we listen to that whisper?

For years, society told us this phase was about loss. But what if it’s really about liberation? Imagine, just for a moment, that those hot flashes and mood swings aren’t flaws - they’re signals. Signals from a body and soul ready to shed old stories, old roles, and step into a truth you’ve always carried but never fully claimed.

Can you feel it? The quiet stirring of intuition growing louder. The courage to say “no” to what drains you and “yes” to what lights you up. The part of you that knows, deep down, this isn’t a crisis, it’s a chrysalis.
Because here’s the secret your soul already understands:

Perimenopause isn’t just a hormonal shift. It’s a spiritual recalibration. A chance to release the weight of “shoulds” and rediscover the woman you’ve always been beneath the roles, the expectations, the noise.
Think about this: What if the overthinking, the grief, even the anxiety, are simply your psyche’s way of asking, “Who do you want to become now?” And isn’t it interesting how the answer begins to emerge when we stop fearing the question?

This isn’t about “fixing” yourself. It’s about meeting yourself-raw, real, and radiant; exactly where you are. Your body isn’t betraying you. It’s guiding you. Back to your power. Back to your voice. Back to a version of you that’s more alive, more aligned, more wholly yourself than you ever thought possible.

So tonight, as you lie awake, thoughts swirling, ask yourself gently: “What if this is the awakening I’ve been waiting for?”
And notice how your mind begins to soften…
…how your heart begins to remember…
…how the woman you’re becoming is already here.

So much love sisters

Grief, especially traumatic grief, can make even the simplest tasks feel impossible. Everyday activities may seem overwhelming, and the weight of loss can drain your energy and focus. But small, achievable goals can help you regain a sense of control, inspire confidence, and empower you to move forward—one step at a time.
